Hi all 👋 I’m just catching up. Been AWOL lately.

MissC that looks awful. So scary .

DB has been seriously Ill but is on mend.

Am watching Atypical on Netflix which is I think quite good still not made my mind up!

End of term manic-ness lemons? Hope it’s not too tiring and that all is okay.

I got my assignment submitted this morning, then promptly attended another training session at 11am and now have another one to complete!

Sorry to see the damage MissC but glad you all escaped.

Awful news today that the school we were in talks with has now met with LA and won't offer and no education is going to be in place for a second year. DS started kicking the wall. I've just been crying a lot. I've e-mailed a lawyer but we have been stitched up with that too. LA have not issued correct paperwork. 6th year of no support here. I had to turn down cancer treatment last year to deal with this and now I will have to decline more but they do not give a monkeys, its all about saving money and shifting things round agencies but it never stops. A week until end of term. I wish I could sue these people.

Aww Silkie am so sorry. I wish I could do/say something to help but you are strong. Could you sue them?

I don't know Lemons We have a medical report stating the effect of the drug that went wrong but its not 100% clear. The handcuffing police will probably argue a flight risk even though completely ott and we live in a village with no traffic and he has good roadsense. The LA the report from mental health does say he had mental issues due to a lack of help in school but never known anyone be able to sue for that. I would need to ask lawyers. Its 3 years you have for medical. But the money people get for no education is pathetic and a huge incentive for the LA to give none and you have to fight for a year to get it. Am sure will get a its not our fault you could have our amazing offer of 1 maths tutor from LA. Grrr.

So sorry about your dog, Sue. Pets bring such joy and leave a big hole in our lives when they leave us.

Ah Silkie I'm so sorry to hear this.Your DS has been well and truly failed.
DS2 has been really poorly with probably a virus - I have never seen him so ill. We went to the GP today for the first time in years. He has a fever and joint pain, rallies when fever is down but plummets when up. He is so fed up as he's going to France on Friday but I don't know if he'll be well enough. I feel so sorry for him.
Also sorry to hear about the floods Miss.

In the hands of a good lawyer I don't think DS' case would need to be 100% airtight. Just persuasive enough.

I'm so disappointed for you and your lovely DS Silkie, I really am.

I hope you are resting when you can, you've had a lot to deal with that you shouldn't have had to.

In time, perhaps a good lawyer will advise you on what's best to do next. In time.

Also wanted to mention Kits Beach on Cornwall just over the Burrard Bridge from downtown by bike or via seawall is lovely and has a nice restaurant, The Boathouse.
Sprouts, if you are travelling with children I recommend a visit to Science World. It's super interesting and fun. ☺️🤓
I'd also try for sunset at English Bay in the west end.
It may sound like my suggestions are all over the place, but the downtown area is small. 😊
Last, depending on the day you are here, you might be able to catch the fireworks. Just be prepared for it to be packed.

Zippedy, now that my DD is home for the summer, she and i go together so we don't have to chat with the nail technicians.

My office, which is on the first floor of the building, had water infiltration during the epic storm on Sunday. They have to remove the furniture to take up the carpet squares, then dry everything back out. So it looks like I'll be working from home for a while.

Thank you Havoc I'm getting quite excited now will definitely go with one of your suggestions. The light festival looks good though very pricey for seats......**

Just having a late lunch at Momo Sushi on Robson - vegetable udon soup. Almost any Japanese restaurant here is decent, btw.
Checked to make sure two Italian restaurants are still here and look okay: Cin Cin and Zefferelli's. Used to frequent both.

Two new cafe's have opened: Paul's and Foret Noire. Pastried are beautiful (especially at Paul's).

All on Robson, 1110-block. Breka is also a good cafe and opened late. A few locations downtown and I've been to all. The one off Robson (by about 20m) is at 812 Bute.

Sprouts, I'm super excited for you, too! I love living here, playing tourist myself and tour guide.
Another place, Kobe on Alberni (between Robson and Georgia is excellent.

I went to the hairdresser's !

First time in 4 years 😲!

Due to various health issues and lockdowns I ended up down a bit of a spiral path of not caring about my self ...and then got into the catch 22 of being too embarrassed to go to the hairdresser's 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

But I went ...my hair was in a bad state ... so much so that I thought it would have to be all cut off...

But she put a treatment on it , cut it ,and I love it 😀😀.

And that is before the colour is being done ( have to wait 48 hour after treatment for the colour)

Some jackets arriving tomorrow to see if they go with the dress I have got for the big day in 2 weeks .

I am on a massive expensive boost to my well being these next few weeks !!

I am actually starting to look forward to the day now !

I may forget to mention you when I post and really have no advice to give you ...but i am I awe of your resilience.

The locall tornado warning siren went off about 15 minutes ago. Dcat is the only one who has taken cover, in her usual safe place. So far, according to the weather on TV, two touchdowns have occurred, but neither one has affected us here.

We recently had one, an F4 that was 2km wide, next province over in Alberta. Luckily, minimal damage due to more rural area.
