How do I cook fishfingers?

DanFmDorking · 23/03/2023 19:47

Could you help me please? I have some Fish Fingers.
The instructions are:-
Pre heat Oven to 220C/Gas mark 7 – Place on a pre heated baking-tray in the centre of the oven for 14 minutes.
I don’t have an Oven.
How should I cook them using a 800w Microwave?
I’d be grateful for some advice - thanks.

Why is your knife so freakishly long? 😂

No cooker, toaster or pans, yet one freakishly long knife....I think you need a review of your kitchen equipment.

I do mine in the toaster. But I've only ever bought frozen ones!

Now I learned something. I would have bet money that, as microwaves cook things inside out, the fish juice would weep through the batter and make them all soggy. Maybe the chunkiness of both fish and batter saved the day?

@ThreeLocusts Maybe the chunkiness of both fish and batter saved the day? - Yep, I think this is the case - (however, between you and me, not so much 'batter' as 'wood chippings').

Oooh, I have those mugs! John Lewis, I think?

Is that an IKEA small plastic plate? No hate just curious as it makes the fish finger dimensions make sense.

@Partyandbullshit - Oooh, I have those mugs! John Lewis, I think? - Nope,
'Victoria and Albert Museum, London - Fine Bone China Mug Collection' - I got two of them from my local charity shop £2.50 each - well chuffed.

@NewNovember - Is that an IKEA small plastic plate? - Nope, Wilko china I'm afraid.

I think willow China is superior to IKEA plastic. Main thing is you enjoyed your dinner.

@CantSell - thank you soooo much for that site.
@Hungrycaterpillarsmummy Why did you buy food that you don't have ... They were my favourite flavour - 'Reduced'.
@MillicentTrilbyHiggins - were they any good? - they're fine.
... and England have scored again.

I don't understand some of the advanced words you've been using like 'pan', 'air grill', using waffles and bags and things.

Thanks for all your help - I appreciate it - I'm not hungry now.

I can't believe I'm posting this picture!

Haha thanks for the laugh, Op!

That's mismatched fork and knife though....no I couldn't live like that!
