Literally booking tonight!!

Ahhh!! Plz help fellow MN’s I have this eve to book a holiday…. Long story! Need to be hot. Under 3 hours plane. Accomadation within 1/2 hour of airport. Work your magic!! X many thanks in advance

Almeria, Roquet De Mar. Spanish, not to quote but not to busy, similar to Furungarola. Not as popular as other Spanish destinations so tends to be cheaper, weather great all year, resort less than 30min from airport, approx. 2hr flight time.

As others have said, for hot you need 4 hour flight to the Canaries. Just avoid the downmarket ‘English’ areas. Try Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos in Tenerife; Maspalomas or Meloneras in Gran Canaria; Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote.

You won't find anywhere hot in April thats less than a 4 hour flight. Well not guaranteed to be hot anyway.

Lanzarote is 3.5hrs and well worth the extra 30 minutes as its hot, cheap and nice food, very clean and always a good holiday

It’s slightly longer than that from UK airports - 4 hrs 15 from LGW and Bham.

Right I have to say a huge thank you to you all for your amazing help and kindness in sharing your holiday hot spots…. So not to waste anyone’s time I will go and have a look and book tonight so please don’t answer further for me!…. But obviously many people may benefit from this post so feel free to carry on, just wanting to make clear that I am really grateful and personally no longer need recommendations! Happy holidays…. Saved our butts off for this !…. So off to find a recommended bargain ….. in a world where you can be anything, choose nice, many thanks to those of you that have been ….I know I would do the same , Because let’s be honest , if we can’t help each other out from time to time and share our knowledge/ information on experience … what a sad place it would be xx 😊

I'd fly into Malaga.

Get the train down to the coast from the airport.

Train is excellent transport whilst your there.

Ds and I often stay in Torreblanca which is by feungirola.

You really are going to need southern Spain to get much sun this time of year.

But be warned we went to Benalmadena (same area) in April once and it wasn't that great weather wise. It was warm just not wall to walk sunshine!

Costa Brava (we've stayed Callela and Tossa de mar) is also lovely with good beaches but risky sunshine wise in Easter.
We preferred Tossa de mar.

Canaries is 4 hour flights but if you prefer that grand canaria and Tenerife are good (but can be windy this time of year!)

Fly to Pula in Croatia, stay at the Arena campsite. Cheap, warm fabulous swimming and snorkeling, lots to do.

Have you tried ‘on the beach?’ I’ve booked a few holidays in the past with them. Their app is really good.

I agree. I've been to Spain in May and it was awful. But gorgeous here as people kept on telling me 🤬🤣

Pula probably wouldn't be warm enough in April and I wouldn't risk Balearics either. Mainland Spain (flying into Malaga or Alicante) should be OK temperature wise for day time - will be quite cool in the evening though .
