Actually it will be his Probation Officer that had him recalled not the police although they were probably pleased to do so. Sex offenders often have not owning a smart phone as a condition of their licence.

Reducing the number of people who watch porn made by others reduces the attractiveness of making it.

The Parole Board didn't release him. He was released automatically at the halfway point of his sentence. They will now decide on any re-release though.
