Continuation of previous threads (thread 5).

Gather here all ye refugees from the JTT Flat Earth Society, welcome to the reassuringly oblate spheroid of MN! Ye all already know the answers to the questions "How the heck do I format my post?" "Why can't I edit my typos?" "What do those acronyms mean?" and most importantly, "Where is everybody that I used to know?"

So really we're all here just to chat randomly.

I love the Joan of Arc thread because I had the sort of moment I haven't had for far too long over there.

In other news has anyone heard of the Catalyst Club? I know that they definitely used to do things in London, maybe still do but they definitely do in Brighton and Shoreham-by-sea. Any road up! It's a night where three speakers give a talk on some subject or other for about 15 minutes and then there are questions. When you go along you don't know what the subjects will be, you just turn up and listen to some interesting stuff. Or not so interesting stuff. It's a crap shot but a pretty fun one. I've been to a few now and have enjoyed the majority of the talks. I will be giving one of them there talks in July! I don't think you have to be anything special to get to give one. I just asked if I could and the answer was yes. So, there's that.

Ooh, what will you talk about, Crows?

SinnerBoy · 20/04/2023 17:52

I'm feeling a little bit sad, our Ukrainian refugees are moving out at the end of the month. She's managed to find a nice house in a decent area. I'm happy for them really, but they've been here 9 months and it feels really odd.

That sounds really fun actually!

@MavisMcMinty , debunking the myths about corsets.

MavisMcMinty · 20/04/2023 18:48

@Kucinghitam - gonna need a new thread soon, pretty please. x

MavisMcMinty · 20/04/2023 18:50

Oh that sounds interesting, Crows! So, the things I believe about corsets are they interfere with your breathing, distort your rib cage and make you faint a lot - all myths?
