Chippy tea- what's your order?

I'm heading to the chippy for tea for me and the kids tonight, what would you like and I'll add it onto my order?

I'll be ordering mine later I'll be having chicken curry chips,a chicken burger with cheese (no ketchup or onions) a coke & I always order nuggets for my son & a Capri sun 😁

Battered fish, chips and gravy

Ohhh a battered chicken supper please .
Just salt on it and a bottle of red Kola

Large haddock and scraps please. Saveloy too if they do them.

Chips and bits and a spam fritter.

Large Chips and mushy please, every time! Lashings of salt and vinegar. No competitive under-eating here… but any leftovers will be donated to the foxes and badgers.

This has cheered me up!
I've been stuck in all day with building work being done. Can't go out for long as decisions need making re handles etc
Can't concentrate on reading or anything productive (spent a lot of time on MN).
DH and I decided our cut-off point for getting something quick from the chipper once they're gone is 18:05. After that, we'd either be eating really late or eating while they're here if I cook.
I was feeling a bit despondent, but perking up no end having read this thread! 🤞they stay!

Tl/dr: mine's a fish, small chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.
Or chicken and mushroom pie, small chips and gravy.
Or...hmm...
Whatever it is, I'll have lots of salt and vinegar, please

A fish supper or a white pudding supper with mushy peas that would be eaten on top of the Law Hill or on a bench in the car park on the banks of the River Tay in Dunkeld. The one just opposite a hotel. There’s also a certain attraction to the wall across the road from the chip shop at Arbroath Harbour but the seagulls are swines.
