I really can’t wait for ours tonight - toad in the hole with double cream mash, broccoli, cauliflower cheese ( just for me) & the most yummy sounding onion & red wine gravy.

Incidentally, supper is that thing you have in your PJ's just before bed

So you're unlikely to invite friends over for supper then? Confused

Supper is 2 biscuits and a glass of milk before bed 😁

Roast chicken, roast carrots, double cream mash, petit pois, roasties, Yorkshire pudding and gravy (or white wine jus if we are being posh!). With lemon cheesecake for pudding.

Everything made from scratch, including yhe biscuits for the cheesecake base!!

Incidentally, supper is that thing you have in your PJ's just before bed, usually a slice of toast or a wheatabix and warm milk.

Who made you the arbiter of the dictionary 😆
In the poshest phase of my life (boarding school) supper was the main meal.

OP - pork and apple casserole, with oven chips because I can't be bothered to do the rice.

We're having chorizo rice - chorizo, chicken, onions, peppers, mushrooms, courgette cooked all together with rice. Flavoured with a little Cajun seasoning, wine, garlic, roasted pepper paste and cooked in chicken stock.

Oh my god that sounds immense!!!

KatnissNeverdone · 19/02/2023 18:21

Fry up for us. We've had a busy day and couldn't be arsed with a roast.

We had a big roast for lunch at my mum's so no proper tea here. The kids had leftovers from yesterday reheated. I'm making myself pastina as I keep seeing reels on it on Instagram and I can have it for lunch tomorrow as well.

Roast pork, sage & onion stuffing, Yorkies, roast potatoes, carrots, and broccoli with lashings of gravy. Late tonight as the husband had to take the car for its NCT (MOT) - and it passed!

If my friends want to join me for toast in PJ's they are most welcome!!! But I'd definitely suggest they don't invite me to supper when they mean come for tea 🤣🤣

Bourbon biscuits and a glass of milk used to be out treat off our granda Moose. Happy memories

Roast Chicken Dinner

AtleastitsnotMonday · 19/02/2023 18:54

Heck chicken sausages, swede and carrot mash, roasted cauliflower and green beans if they haven't gone mouldy. We are a roast on a Sunday kind of family, especially in the winter, but we had friends over yesterday and they have a plethora of dietary requirements, likes and dislikes, and a roast is one of the few meals I can think of where I can easily cater for all without having to cook loads of different dishes, so we had a roast yesterday. The chicken sausages I bought by mistake before Christmas and everyone thought they'd be awful but were actually really nice. Swede and carrot mash is left over from yesterday so very minimal cooking required tonight, which suits me fine!

Walterwhiteswifey · 19/02/2023 18:54

I'm making paneer curry with poppadoms and onion salad yummmmm

That's exactly what I said @unstoppable1

Everyone knows what 'tea' the OP meant.

The snippy post was the equivalent of the 'tinkly laugh'.
