I really can’t wait for ours tonight - toad in the hole with double cream mash, broccoli, cauliflower cheese ( just for me) & the most yummy sounding onion & red wine gravy.

Just had lemon and thyme roasted chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing, roast carrots, sautéed garlic spring greens and green beans. With proper, home made gravy. All just for me, myself and I!

Tea ☕️? Isn't that a drink?

Do you mean dinner Confused?

The dinner ladies, that serve school dinners, at dinnertime in Yorkshire might ask what your having for tea at tea time. Grin

Grigorisangel · 19/02/2023 16:49

We had pie, mash and peas at my mil’s for dinner so I probably won’t eat tea but there is a bar of chocolate calling to me

We're having chorizo rice - chorizo, chicken, onions, peppers, mushrooms, courgette cooked all together with rice. Flavoured with a little Cajun seasoning, wine, garlic, roasted pepper paste and cooked in chicken stock.

Ooh any links to a good road in the hole recipe? DH loves it but we've never attempted it.

We're having ham (which has been boiled and needs to be roasted), egg and chips and making some flapjacks with the littlest DC.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 19/02/2023 16:56

Don't know about anyone else but round here we have tea. And mine tonight is fish and okra curry, home made garlic roti and sweet potato dhal.

OldTinHat · 19/02/2023 17:03

I'm having vegetable soup for my tea.

stopringingme · 19/02/2023 17:04

Leftover Chinese food from last night, we always over order 😋

mathanxiety · 19/02/2023 17:15

Quiche with spinach.

maddiemookins16mum · 19/02/2023 17:19

We’ve just eaten chicken thigh/smoked bacon casserole (with carrots and leeks in it), roast potatoes and Savoy cabbage/broccoli. DH has gone to wash up. We always have our TEA early on a Sunday as we have Church at 6.30pm tonight. We’ll be home by 8pm and normally have our pudding then - we have Cheesecake for later.

inappropriateraspberry · 19/02/2023 17:20

Roast dinner - it's Sunday! Beef with roast potatoes, and roasted veg: green beans, carrots, cauliflower and a bit of leftover courgette. No yorkies though.

inappropriateraspberry · 19/02/2023 17:21

And lemon meringue pie!

TaRaDeBumDeAy · 19/02/2023 17:24

I'm having curry, for dinner.

TomAllenWife · 19/02/2023 17:26

Sunday roast - chicken, stuffing, bread sauce, sprouts, carrots, peas & gravy
With shit loads of mint sauce

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 19/02/2023 17:29

Chicken curry with garlic naan and rice. I add a bit of cheddar to my plate too as I add it to inside of naans with the curry. Added spinach to curry too as it tastes great.

Tomorrow will be roast beef, Yorkshire puds, maybe homemade mash, veg. Yum yum.

I feel like you're a day out 😂

’chicken’ wraps! Coleslaw, salad, fake chicken, dips, wraps… all put on the table for everyone to make their own.

Up north we have dinner or lunch then tea

OatFox · 19/02/2023 17:34

Steak pie with broccoli and mashed potatoes for me and DH and a quick frozen pizza and garlic bread for the DD's as that's what they asked for.

Candlesamdyoga · 19/02/2023 17:34

Tofu curry here. Trying to eat what I've got. I really fancy a roast dinner, reading some of these though. Especially the cauliflower cheese bit

ladymacbeth · 19/02/2023 17:35

Chicken madras with gunpowder potatoes. Paratha and salad. Very excited

CandlelightGlow · 19/02/2023 17:37

I need inspiration - also pre shopping so low on ingredients right now. Would do toad in the hole but have just used the last eggs in a cake for supper 😑

Cheesy sausage pasta? Sausage mash and gravy? Bit boring though - it's too late to do much else now though it's 5:30 already!

You call lunch dinner?

What is lunch then? Breakfast? Grin

Glenthebattleostrich · 19/02/2023 17:39

Roast chicken, roast carrots, double cream mash, petit pois, roasties, Yorkshire pudding and gravy (or white wine jus if we are being posh!). With lemon cheesecake for pudding.

Everything made from scratch, including yhe biscuits for the cheesecake base!!

Incidentally, supper is that thing you have in your PJ's just before bed, usually a slice of toast or a wheatabix and warm milk.

MudLady · 19/02/2023 17:39

Fish pie & broccoli. I forgot to put the prawns in though.
