Celebrities like Stacey Solomon and their Instagram perfect lives

I heard the news today that Stacey Solomon and Joe swash have welcomed baby number 3 together so thought I'd Google to check out a picture of the cute new arrival. Google led me to her insta. How the hell do these celebs have such picture perfect lives? Every photo is perfect, Babies & toddlers all look immaculate in matching clothing with big beaming smiles no snot, tears, tantrums, refusing to look at the camera. perfect backdrops be it in the home or out & about. It's just too much perfection. It's actually quite depressing and makes us normal families lives look shit or is that just mine 🤔🤣. just how do they get these perfect family moments, pics and vids without the kids playing up and getting bored and just point blank refusing. Do they have professional photographers in their daily lives doing it all for them?

How do they do it?

MONEY. Lots of money!

Tempone · 13/02/2023 21:08

I follow stacey, Her stories do show lots of noise and mess ... one tiny corner of my room can look beautiful for one minute too but it's not a true reflection of the shit show of the rest of the house.

Alargeoneplease89 · 13/02/2023 21:10

Definitely not perfect, wasn't she caught smoking through her last pregnancy... all smoke and mirrors

ShirleyPhallus · 13/02/2023 21:10

its their job. Their lifestyle inc their children are their product

id be very glad that wasn’t me tbh. I can’t imagine how fucked off you’d be to learn when you’re an older child that your parents sold you out as a child and put all your moments including embarrassing ones out for public consumption

as an additional point it’s people following them that gives them a following. I find it really depressing how many people with absolutely zero talent become celebrities just because people but in to this kind of lifestyle

pilates · 13/02/2023 21:11

A quick photo does not reflect true life.

DrMarciaFieldstone · 13/02/2023 21:11

It’s not real.

QueefQueen80s · 13/02/2023 21:12

It must be really stressful keeping up with that life.. My friend got depression and anxiety trying. No thankyou.

TheCraicDealer · 13/02/2023 21:15

It’s their job. If I spent 8 plus hours a day cleaning my house or doing DIY crafty shit it probably would look a lot better than it does. And to be fair, Stacey, god love her, wouldn’t know where to start doing my job. Anyone who lets it get them down needs to remember these are basically ads, influencers are the ad men of the 21st century.

BanoffeeBoat · 13/02/2023 21:24

They don't have picture-perfect lives; they have picture-perfect pictures. (And, yes, often a professional photographer frequently on hand 😏)
I looked after an Instagram influencer in a clinical capacity during her pregnancy. She went from a "perfect" size 8 (or something), blonde, impeccable blow-dry, always smiling etc etc to extremely bloated, had terrible sickness and uncontrollable belching... just worlds away from the image on her Instagram. It meant that she became a virtual recluse for the whole of her pregnancy because if anyone saw her like that it would totally ruin her brand. So she basically just stayed indoors for 10 months, and posted pictures of her manicure, or her home, or the flowers from her boyfriend, or her dog, so that her life still looked perfect and no-one knew what she really looked like or was going through. It meant she was cut off from both her real-life support networks (because she couldn't go out and see anyone) and from the validation i suppose she was used to receiving through the comments on her social media. It was terribly sad that she felt such awful pressure, and took quite a toll on her mental health. I really felt for her, and it made me feel quite grateful for my little imperfect, anonymous life, and for friends who come don't care if my hair is in the same unwashed bun it's been in for 3 days, or if there are toy cars all over the kitchen, or if I smell like sour milk because I came out without a muslin!
Not suggesting that's the case for all celebrities of course - many do have very lovely, happy, privileged lives that seem to go very smoothly from strength to strength. But social media only ever gives a very small, carefully edited/curated snapshot. I'm pretty sure Stacey Solomon's kids get snotty noses and throw tantrums too - but who posts pictures of those things??

Wilff · 13/02/2023 21:32

Occasionally it's a relief to see a well known person's home, when it's not the main focus. (like in the background). When I see they have cluttered toys everywhere or mid terrace or small gardens or on a busy road, I think.. " ahhhhh , they're basically ordinary people like us, earning a living "

Essexgirlupnorth · 13/02/2023 21:33

All very staged and filtered. Then she doesn't work a normal 9-5 and probably has help with the kids and round the house. I mean she didn't announce the last pregnancy until really late but was obvious she was for a couple of months before that.
I much prefer people on Instagram that post the warts and all. Glad Instagram wasn't such a thing when I had a newborn.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 13/02/2023 21:37

They're happy, they're very wealthy and she's very talented at presentation/design (probably along with a PR/marketing team, but going by the state of some slebs' social media binfires, it's not guaranteed) - it's not accidental daily goings on, it's an incredibly focused and polished product she's offering.

DisneyChops · 13/02/2023 21:38

But it's not real is it?
Nobody's life is perfect. Kids will always be kids, however much money their parents have.
They will still piss and shit all over the floor, still refuse their breakfast, have tantrums, refuse to sleep, etc etc.

This! Her childrens feet are often filthy and she admitted to rarely showering, they have a nanny too. I like her but it’s defo not perfect.

Littleloveydovey · 13/02/2023 21:39

i don’t actually agree with you, I follow Stacey and her insta is very realistic. I don’t really understand what you’re on about?

SgtCawood · 13/02/2023 21:41

I love Stacey and her matchy-matchy life and mad front door displays. She looks like she’s having a bloody good time - fair play to her.

threeplusmum · 13/02/2023 21:44

Can't stand her tbh. I doubt everything is as perfect behind closed doors as the pictures make out to be.

I’d think something was going a bit wrong if my children were going to the toilet on the floor 🤷‍♀️

I'll presume you haven't had children or gone through potty training?
Regardless, surely you know what I mean.

Treacletreacle · 13/02/2023 21:49

It's all lies and carefully planned. Love everyone to the moon and back... Next minute oh look at my new clothes range. And she's very much far from perfect if you look at the kids they are often dirty and never have a routine fall asleep anywhere. Poor Rex had a dogs bed.

That was her pregnancy in 2012!!!!

MONEY. Lots of money!

Publicists

starlingsintheslipstream · 13/02/2023 21:51

Doesn't matter how perfect it appears, I would always think - but she's married to Joe Swash 😱.

MaverickGooseGoose · 13/02/2023 21:53

It's her job, it has to look perfect. I like Stacey, she's got a successful career anyone who doesn't get it sounds jealous to me.

Personally, I don't like Mrs Hinch but I don't begrudge her her success.

If it was that easy everyone would do it.

elephantmarchingin · 13/02/2023 21:54

I could take a picture in one place which I've just cleaned which would look all lovely, doesn't mean the rest of the house is like that!
