Celebrities like Stacey Solomon and their Instagram perfect lives

I heard the news today that Stacey Solomon and Joe swash have welcomed baby number 3 together so thought I'd Google to check out a picture of the cute new arrival. Google led me to her insta. How the hell do these celebs have such picture perfect lives? Every photo is perfect, Babies & toddlers all look immaculate in matching clothing with big beaming smiles no snot, tears, tantrums, refusing to look at the camera. perfect backdrops be it in the home or out & about. It's just too much perfection. It's actually quite depressing and makes us normal families lives look shit or is that just mine 🤔🤣. just how do they get these perfect family moments, pics and vids without the kids playing up and getting bored and just point blank refusing. Do they have professional photographers in their daily lives doing it all for them?

Because it's their job. Dh has an instagram for his company. He's not an 'influencer'. He's the director of a limited company with several commercial premises and about 10 employees. But it's sort of a 'lifestyle' outdoor brand. If you looked at his instagram, you'd like all we did was eat beautiful food and wild camp and swim in the sea, etc. Because no one is going to pay money for something that glamourises feeding your kids fish fingers 3 nights a week because you're too knackered to cook beautiful food.

Maybe she could stop exploiting her children for money online and she might win then? @WinnieFosterReads I noticed Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed another baby. Any ideas if their children are clean or dirty? Oh that’s right they have actual jobs and don’t need to exploit their children to up their advertising revenue potential.

If this was about the DCs, there would be an equal number of threads criticising 'famous' fathers who are on insta. There aren't because this is really about hating women who have any kind of success or non-traditional earning potential.

Some people - misogynists - can't stand that insta is one of the very few places where there are more women in the top ten earners than men.

If they were really concerned about the DCs, they'd think about how the DCs will feel reading all the bile directed at their family. And they'd think about the harrassment that has been linked to Tattle's obsession with 'famous' women and the fact that Tattle has been served with at least one injunction because of it.

Funny how the Tattle users suddenly became obsessed with privacy when it was about trying to keep their own names away from the courts. It might be worth remembering that traditionally MN hasn't been as lax about handing member details to lawyers with valid cases.

If you had a fab photographer/camera and getting paid to do this, I bet you could do the same.
Try it out. Get lovely nice white bed linen and take a pic of your dc getting up, tickle their feet so you capture their laughter.
Make a stack of pancakes, get some strawberries and blueberries, have lovely white plates bowls and tablecloth. Have a few props like a bunch of yellow flowers in a nice vase. Take a few pics. Choose the best one. Perfect breakfast shot.
Take dc to a picturesque park, chase them around and take a few pics. And so on. You get the idea.
Put them all on Instagram and everyone will be envious of your perfect day and life. Not knowing how messy the rest of your kitchen got, the tantrums that were thrown because someone got more strawberries and dc only wanted to wear their old wellies to the park and not the designer shoes you picked up especially.

@theblackradiator picture taken at exactly the same spot. One yesterday. One today. If I was an influencer, one wouldn’t make the cut.

She hangs around with a greedy scammer so not that perfect.

ImAvingOops · 14/02/2023 11:07

Who is the greedy scammer?

are you an influencer?

bobbytorq · 14/02/2023 11:46

It's social media gloss, not real life. Anyone can make things look good for a few photos.

abovemiddlec · 14/02/2023 11:57

It will only be picture perfect, and behind that veneer it will not be perfect at all. You can confidently apply that to anyone.

On Instagram it's like a business promoting their brand, these celebrities. Some accounts aren't even managed by them.

WinnieFosterReads · 14/02/2023 12:43

I'm not an influencer. I much prefer being behind the scenes rather than in front of screens.
It's not new (abhorrent and sexist - but not new) to criticise women for everything but misogynists are being radicalised online and it is creating a dangerous climate for all women and girls. You're not protecting girls by contributing to a toxic environment for their sex.

and I'd argue that influencers aren't protecting their kids by placing them on social media for monetary reasons. They were never given a choice in this and I think we'd all agree that consent is very important.

Camillialane · 14/02/2023 13:03

We all know it's fake and they have a ton of paid help though, right? The real question is why you'd even add accounts on Instagram that make you feel bad!

Stressybetty · 14/02/2023 13:11

I love Stacey, she seems very down to earth and genuine to me. I'm sure we don't see all her chaos, kids tantrums, mess and day to day shit. I do think though that she is very very organised, tidy and has a LOT of help including cleaners. If I had her cash and was as organised I'd have a lovely home too!

jtaeapa · 14/02/2023 13:13

I've never had instagram. Honestly OP, I'd delete it.

Miss Greedys Home.

Absolute vile human. I have no idea why Stacey got involved with her!

louise5754 · 14/02/2023 15:09

Hinch?

Thisthattheother1 · 14/02/2023 18:54

@WinnieFosterReads what dad influencer shows pictures of their newborn to 5.5 million people on insta? And I’m not really sure why you’re saying it’s worth remembering mumsnet give over ids. I fully stand over my statement that Instagram is completely fake and that influencers like Stacey exploit their defenceless children for money. As for ‘misogyny’ - talk about grasping at straws. You sound upset people have started to see influencing for what it is. I’ll be very interested in whether the exploited children sue for loss of earnings or lack of privacy when older.

user1471538283 · 14/02/2023 18:57

It is just insufferable. There is something off with alot of it and we may find out in years to come like those old Hollywood publicity shots whilst all sorts was going on.

lollipoprainbow · 14/02/2023 19:31

Can't stand her or him gurning away with a baseball cap permanently clamped to his head.

kerstina · 14/02/2023 19:32

I don’t follow Stacey and never felt jealous of anyone’s life until I followed Marina Fogle . Married to a perfect man and seemingly perfect life with glorious holidays .Horses ,dogs ,puppies ! I had to unfollow in the end.

ImAvingOops · 14/02/2023 19:44

I don't see what's so bad about showing off her new baby on instagram. It's hardly exploitative.

Testina · 14/02/2023 19:55

Not the point of the thread but “Stacey Solomon and Joe swash have welcomed baby number 3” - does nobody just HAVE baby any more?

newnamethanks · 15/02/2023 08:20

It's not all enviable is it? Imagine being trapped in a room with Stacey, Joe and five children. All squeaking away at the same time, none of them listening to another. My ears! No, please only. My idea of hell.

Yeah this. I don’t think it’s all roses anyway, Joe has indicated his son from previous relationship struggles a bit with the big family. Not that it seems to stop them adding to it.

GoodChat · 15/02/2023 08:50

@DrMarciaFieldstone I do always feel sorry for his son. He always seems excluded. That might be out of respect for his privacy and DM but it does feel sad.
