For me best: Steve as boyfriend, Anthony as best friend!

Worst: Burger!

Berger was definitely the worst!

Not sure I have a favourite, they were all shit in different ways!!

CandleInTheStorm · 05/02/2023 19:38

Actually Harry was great too!

Aidan. He was the best.

I liked Harry the best, Steve was good, but Harry was better. Aiden was good.

The whole show was predicated on aspirational glamour, it people, Mr Bug, etc. But the best men were the normal, down to earth men.

Burger was awful, as was the man with the mother that Carrie got on with so well.

ComfortablyDazed · 05/02/2023 19:41

Mr Big 🤪

DarkDarkNight · 05/02/2023 19:41

I liked Smith, he was great with Samantha. Worst was Alexander, a bad match for Carrie, red flags everywhere.

DopamineDresser · 05/02/2023 19:43

Definitely Harry! The seduction in the Batchelor pad 😍 and just so sweet & caring.

Hottest? Mr Big 😍

Worst? The Russian....Petrovsky

SarahAndQuack · 05/02/2023 19:43

I'm fairly sure they all had their issues! Grin

Harry was mostly good. I never got the love for Steve. I felt like he was there to remind us that being keen on your career is unfeminine. Aidan was a total dick and so was Berger. The scrunchie thing was awful, but so well observed.

I think if we're being equal opportunities we should also rate Maria. That storyline was hilarious and I remember my lovely friend being very invested in it (we were 17!). But ... the plate-smashing was a bit scary, wasn't it?!

ladygindiva · 05/02/2023 19:44

Harry's definitely the best. Alexander definitely the worst. Yuk. Loved that scene where Steve saw his piano and asked if he knew any Billy Joel numbers 🤣 Steve second best for me, would be the winner except the cheating incident.

Rauha · 05/02/2023 19:45

Harry's the best, The Russian's the worst.

ComfortablyDazed · 05/02/2023 19:46

Mr Big hot? He made my skin crawl.

WhiteNoiseMoreToys · 05/02/2023 19:46

God I found Mr Big cringeworthy. I hated him and couldn’t underhand why he was ‘main character’ material.

I want Carrie and Aiden to end up together-together.

ComfortablyDazed · 05/02/2023 19:47

Aidan was a total dick

How?

He was very 'of the time,' wasn't he?! I didn't find he made my skin crawl, but there was a rather weird vibe between them because of the age gap, and I think now, in real life, he would come across as genuinely a bit scary - the kind of man you'd warn your friends away from.

Denise82 · 05/02/2023 19:48

Skipper was a good guy 😁 but he did break up with that woman whilst still having sex with her because Miranda called 🤣

BeaLola · 05/02/2023 19:48

Smith - when he shaved his hair when Samantha fell out and then we he went away filming and sent her those bulbs and came back to her

I did like Harry & Steve

Definitely not Big, Berger or Auden

Ooh, yes! If I pretend the terrible movie sequel doesn't exist, then Smith. He was very sweet.

ComfortablyDazed · 05/02/2023 19:50

He absolutely made my skin crawl. The slimy looks, the nudge-nudge, wink-wink flappy eyebrows. The fact that he didn’t give the slightest shit about Carrie - she didn’t even register on his radar, except when he wanted company and/or sex on his terms.

But mostly the ghastly eyebrows. Ugh.

He never seemed to actually like Carrie, but just to find fault with her. He kept pushing her to do things - be a non-smoker, be more outdoorsy, be keen to get married - and made her feel guilty when she didn't want to.

lemons44 · 05/02/2023 19:53

Worst: Burger, Trey 'alrighty', Dr Robert

Best: Harry, smith, Aidan

I didn't like Maria. I thought they didn't portray that storyline very well and made it out like Maria just wanting to "talk" and find a deeper connection an exclusive thing for women-women relationships. They stereotyped women .

Well, she paid him back alright……..

Best - Aiden, worst - Dick.

I agree. He tried to change her to what he wanted in a woman. They should never have gotten back together because although what carrie did was awful, he said he'd forgiven her yet thought about sleeping with the girl at the bar for revenge.
