Just that really- not a surprise though!

OP posts:
AutumnCrow · 29/01/2023 09:38

Just heard it on the radio.

Now the grubbing around for his job begins. Penny ‘TWAW’ Mordaunt wants it apparently.

Ohalpro · 29/01/2023 09:41

About fucking time. Gove still coming out to bat for him though. What a corrupt shower of shits

JamDoorNut · 29/01/2023 09:46

Yes, I’m worried who will be the next one to get his job- none of them necessarily fill me with confidence however this revolving door of ministers doesn’t help!!

OP posts:
Fairest · 29/01/2023 09:47

Bit late…. Any fool could see this man had done wrong!

AAT65 · 29/01/2023 09:50

Who gives a flying who the next Chairman is. Important thing is they lose their party the next election. Who wants that job? Some money grubbing no mark.

Herja · 29/01/2023 09:50

Has it been cleared up yet, if number 10 knew before his appointment? I know yesterday it was being denied, but didn't seem credible...

Honesty and integrity my arse.

Time for an election!

Rowthe · 29/01/2023 09:51

It doesnt matter.

They get sacked, then they are first in line for the next job going.

rainbowstardrops · 29/01/2023 10:07

Corrupt bunch of shits

stbrandonsboat · 29/01/2023 10:09

Urgh, they're so disgusting 🤢 can't believe we have another year of this.

Ncgirlseriously · 29/01/2023 10:10

Tories inept and corrupt- water continues to be wet.

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

PollyEsther · 29/01/2023 10:16

You reap what you sow.

I have no sympathy for Tory voters watching this. They’re complicit.

As for ‘labour will be no better,’ at least people won’t fucking starve.

BashirWithTheGoodBeard · 29/01/2023 10:19

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

They probably will. As would most previous Tory governments actually, because this level of self sabotaging idiocy isn't usual in British politics. Governments and parties that are better functioning usually wake up and smell the coffee more quickly when it comes to incredibly damaging behaviour like this, rather than letting the offender drag it out and make the party look worse.

It's also a consequence of a weak leader who struggles to boot people and who knows what slim pickings are available to replace them. That won't be Starmer when Labour get in, because those factors won't be applicable.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 29/01/2023 10:21

Does it matter? The only difference between Zahawi and the rest of them is that he got caught.

lobsterkiller · 29/01/2023 12:25

Rees-Mogg feels sorry for him. They really are a shower of shite. It's going to be a long 18 months...

Blossomtoes · 29/01/2023 12:53

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

To be honest, they really couldn’t be worse. It’s only ever Tory governments that get embroiled in sleaze.

Iam4eels · 29/01/2023 13:48

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

I guess the "bots assemble" klaxon went off at Tory HQ.

Mate, at this point literally anyone would be better.

Casilero · 29/01/2023 13:51

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

I tend to agree. My son asked me the other day if there was actually a politician I didn't completely loathe and the only person I could think of was Joanna Cherry. Perhaps there are others, I just couldn't recall any.

AutumnCrow · 29/01/2023 13:54

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

My mum could do better

ConfusedNT · 29/01/2023 13:58

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

I can't believe people are still trotting this out at this point

It's not about being a tory or a Labour supporter it's about recognising that they current government are a shambles and have been for some time

Perhaps if some tory voters held their MPs to higher standards instead of bleating 'Labour would be worse' then the tories would be in a stronger position

Viviennemary · 29/01/2023 14:00

Not before time. Nothing but a bunch of greedy crooks. At least they will be out at the next election.

midsomermurderess · 29/01/2023 14:02

As ever with Sunak, a day late and a dollar short.

DirectionToPerfection · 29/01/2023 14:05

JudithHarper · 29/01/2023 10:14

Labour won't be any better.

Ok Torybot.

Larry the cat could do a better fucking job than this lot.

It's a very low bar that's been set for Labour and it's pretty much impossible for them to do a worse job.

MissMarplesbag · 29/01/2023 14:09

Unfortunately the British electorate will forget all this come the next election and vote for the Tories again. It's as if they enjoy a kicking and come back for more, the term Stockholm syndrome comes to mind.

You think? I have absolutely no idea why you think this. Even Tory HQ is pretty well resigned to going into opposition at the next election.
