They keep going on about halving inflation - but even at 5%, prices will (obviously) still be rising, and things won't be cheaper. I am not sure if Government Ministers actually realise that.

They would, and the fact that they haven't is really significant in itself. Party discipline has broken down to the extent that he's been able to drag out the inevitable for nearly a fortnight and clearly intends to cause more trouble. He knows nobody has the power or influence to make him behave.

All out there in the public domain just not terribly well publicised (for obvious reasons).

Infosys run a similar digital identity scheme in India and its a mess with regular mass data breeches and repeated GDPR-equivalent failures.

This is the same Infosys that still hadn't pulled trading out of Russia as recently as the end of November.

I find that they don't like that sort of information.
I frequently get told it is inappropriate to bring facts into the discussion.

Come on now be fair. One would not become that rich by spending the money to build systems that were secure and actually functioned. Its all about sponging off taxpayers to enrich oneself like all these benefit leeches do.
