Mine have no biological grandkids and one step granddaughter.

I know somebody the same age as my mum (early 60s) with 22 grandkids from her 5 children and 5 great-grandkids!

7 grand kids
9 great grandkids so far.

Alsonification · 28/01/2023 11:02

Parents both mid 70's. They have 15 grand children. 2 from me. The rest between my 4 brothers. Eldest is my dd, age 24 and the youngest is 8 weeks old.

Bibbitybobbityboot · 28/01/2023 11:05

My parents (2 children) have 5 and my in laws (3 children) have 6. All are in their 70s. Grandchildren range from ages 28 to 3. No great grandchildren.

One, my DS. My brother doesn't have or want kids.

Me too. MiL has 3. We aren't big breeders 🤣

None. My sister and I failed them!

My mum sighed at me yesterday with a 'When I was your age I had 2 children and another on the way.' Thanks Mum, not quite sure how that helps!

hiredandsqueak · 28/01/2023 12:10

My grandparents (both sides) had six, me and my siblings. My parents had sixteen and I have two and don't expect any more if I'm honest.

Mumski45 · 28/01/2023 12:24

10 with an age range from 3 to 34

NerrSnerr · 28/01/2023 12:32

My mum has three biological grandchildren and two step grandchildren she doesn't have a relationship with. My dad has three grandchildren and two step grandchildren who he is close with. They are late 60s/ early 70s

Rowthe · 28/01/2023 12:33

My mum has 16 grandkids so far

I know I'll have way fewer as I've only got the 2 kids .

SouperNoodle · 28/01/2023 12:35

Two and they're both mine. Neither mine nor my husband's siblings wanted children so our kids are the only grandkids on both sides.

2023istheyearigetmyacttogether · 28/01/2023 12:41

I always think of our family as being very linear and small. Both my parents and PIL are early 70s; both had two children and we're all mid-40s; DH and I have 2 DC but neither of our brothers have DC and nor are they likely too. We definitely don't have those big family gatherings like you see on TV where there always seems to be a real mix of ages. My DC would love some cousins but I can't do much about it!

BlueThursday · 28/01/2023 12:42

My mother has one grandchild.

her brother has 14!

I'm one of 6 living kids.

My husband has 7 siblings.

His mum has 24 and counting grandchildren.

My kids have loads of first cousins. A lot live abroad.

StuntNun · 28/01/2023 12:44

Five. Four are my children, one of my brothers has one child, the other brother has no children.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 28/01/2023 12:45

Four.

Eldest is 15. Youngest is 1

DontdothisDothat · 28/01/2023 12:50

Late 70s, 9 grandchildren through 3 kids. My DNephew is expecting a baby with his wife so soon to be great grandparents!

Kabalagala · 28/01/2023 12:51

3, my DC.
ILs have 9, soon to be 10.
All 60ish.

TheHopefulMum · 28/01/2023 12:54

I'm an only child so my parents, say 50's, have 3 grandchildren.

As476 · 28/01/2023 12:55

My family set up is weird. I have cousins ranging from newborn to 35 years old 🤣. My dad (in his 50s) has 2 grandchildren, but his sister (also in 50s) has 12, and their brother (in his 30s) has none as he is still having babies himself.

Their parents have 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The oldest great grandchild is 13 and the youngest grandchild is 2 months old 😂

blebbleb · 28/01/2023 12:57

My son is the only grandchild on both sides. We'd like another soon, hopefully. I don't think my brother or my SIL will have children.

overwork · 28/01/2023 12:58

My parents (mid to late 60's) have no blood grandchildren. One parent has 1 grandchild through their stepchild though. Between my parents they have 5 children and stepchildren, already all are aged over 30 and coupled up, but most of them don't want children, so it's seriously doubtful that they will ever have more than a handful of grandchildren

Maraudingmarauders · 28/01/2023 12:59
  1. 1 cooking that they don't know about yet (waiting for scan). DH's mum has 2. DH's dad has 6 (although technically 4 are step grandkids, but all equal in our eyes)
Maraudingmarauders · 28/01/2023 13:00

Sorry, forgot age. Mine are mid 60s, Dh's are 55-60

DorotheaHomeAlone · 28/01/2023 13:02

My granny is still alive and has 15 grandkids from her 6 children - 17 great grandkids so far. My parents have 5 from 3 kids and will probably get at least one more.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 28/01/2023 13:02

Granny is 95 and mum is 66.
