Mine have no biological grandkids and one step granddaughter.

I know somebody the same age as my mum (early 60s) with 22 grandkids from her 5 children and 5 great-grandkids!

One, my DS. My brother doesn't have or want kids.

BooksAndHooks · 28/01/2023 08:45

Early 60s and they have 7 grandchildren. Eldest is 16, so definitely no Great grandchildren yet.

One and two great-grandchildren.

My dad has 12 but I have 3 sisters and a brother so that’s why! All the kids are the best of friends which is lovely

LookinUp · 28/01/2023 08:46

Two! My DC. My sister never had children (by choice).

One of my grandmothers had 12 children and 32 grandchildren.

Mirrordash · 28/01/2023 08:48

Both sides just have my two DSs as neither my brother nor SIL have children.

Fizbosshoes · 28/01/2023 08:51

My PIL have 9.my DC are numbers 7 and 9.
On DDs first birthday, they brought no present because "the novelty had worn off" (she's number 7) but they have a soft spot for DS because he's the youngest!
My parents had 2 gc

NancyJoan · 28/01/2023 08:51

GhostPillow · 28/01/2023 08:52

  1. I'm an only child and not planning to have anymore either.
AuntieMarys · 28/01/2023 08:52

My parents (long gone) had 6 grandchildren. Dh mid 60s has 3 . I have none....dd doesn't want them, ds probably will in about 7 years

Crumpetdisappointment · 28/01/2023 08:53

GoAgainstNicki · 28/01/2023 08:53

My mum is 45 and has two grandkids (both mine). My sister is only 14 so there’s no kids from her as of yet😂

That's supposed to be 1 - not sure why it's just a dot...!

Spotsstripes · 28/01/2023 08:55

Early 60s, have 6 grandkids aged 7-20. No great grandchildren yet but suppose that's now possible with two of them.

RewildingAmbridge · 28/01/2023 08:55

My parents have 3, one from me and two from DB. DHs only have one as DH is an only child.
My paternal grandparents had 26 grandchildren from their 9 children (different times and Catholic family) and two great grandchildren before they died.

Quail15 · 28/01/2023 08:55

3

My 2 DC and my sister has one DC. My sister and I aren't planning on anymore and it's very unlikely that my brother will have any now.

SallyWD · 28/01/2023 08:55

My parents are in 70s/80s and have 5 grandchildren. I think more will come from one of my siblings.
My MIL has 3 grandchildren which she seems to think is very low. She does have 6 children, most of whom don't have their own children for various reasons. MIL is very sad that she "only" has 3 grandchildren.

My in laws have 4, will be 6 by October. From 3 sons but one is only 21 so no children from him yet.

my parents have 12, soon to be 13 from 4DC.

All 4 are in their 60s.

RampantIvy · 28/01/2023 08:58

Sadly, my parents died before my sister and I had children. It would have been three. DD is very definite that she doesn't want children ever. That's fine by me as I just want her to be happy.

PuttingDownRoots · 28/01/2023 09:01

My parents are late 60s/late 70s. They have two (my DDs). Thats going to be it it unless my brother (40) meets a slightly younger woman or adopts.

My PILs have 5. I don't think BIL is planning anymore, so thats probably it too.

lljkk · 28/01/2023 09:03

Just thinking that friend's mum, now age ... 73... has
4 kids
11 grandkids (all adults)
About 9 greatgrandies, age 0-12

She's in such good health that she could live long enough to meet her GG-grandkids.
