What's your favourite gin? Looking for gift ideas for someone who likes gin and has several already but not loads.

Mermaid gin- both the normal and the pink gin- beautiful bottles as well as nice gin.

The zesty one is delicious have you tried it? In a green bottle

IntentionalError · 27/01/2023 23:43

I’m one of those boring, old-fashioned people who like gin flavoured gin. My regular brand is Tanquray. It’s gin for people who like gin.

WetBandits · 27/01/2023 23:43

Agnes Arber Pineapple! It’s delicious 🤤

drspouse · 27/01/2023 23:43

I love Edinburgh gin and also Lidl gin (Hortus).

annlee3817 · 27/01/2023 23:44

Isle of Harris gin, can be drank neat with a bit of ice, so good

annlee3817 · 27/01/2023 23:45

Oh yes and echo someone else saying bathtub gin, that's a great one with tonic and orange zest

Dartmoorcheffy · 27/01/2023 23:46

Love

Tarquins
Any whitley Neill but especially raspberry
Bombay sapphire
Hendricks
Manchester
Monkey 47

Hate

Opihr (tastes like curry)
Exeter gin
Gordons lemon

KnickerlessParsons · 27/01/2023 23:47

Gunshot gin and Roku gin. Both very different but both lovely.

Iloveabaconbutty · 27/01/2023 23:51

Gunpowder Irish Gin too. Comes in a lovely blue bottle. The gin is pretty good as well...

mrsfollowill · 27/01/2023 23:52

Mmm! I've been drinking G&T for the last 35 years - I was told it was an 'old persons' drink back then - was a teenager! I like a gin tasting gin- Tanqueray/Bombay Sapphire and yes even 'Gordons' are my go to drinks. The flavoured stuff not so much. Half of it doesn't taste like gin at all!
I like a couple of Tanqueray 'Sevilla' with ginger ale now and again and the odd rhubarb/ginger one but only a couple at most then back to the plain stuff!

MrsHGWells · 27/01/2023 23:53

Depends on your friends preference: citrus, aromatics, herbal etc
haymans gin, Mermaid gin, Tanqueray, Whitley Neill London Dry Gin Connoisseur's Cut,
waitrose has a great selection and regional sourced -

mrsfollowill · 27/01/2023 23:54

Roku is brilliant as a present and will appeal to anyone I think- v pretty bottle as well.

RiderOfTheBlue · 27/01/2023 23:54

I like Opihr. Not a fan of flavoured gins but I like the slightly peppery taste. Also like Tanqueray.

Waitwhat23 · 27/01/2023 23:56

Fidra
Malfy Blood Orange

And if I'm really pushing the boat out, The Botanist.
