What's your favourite gin? Looking for gift ideas for someone who likes gin and has several already but not loads.

I got a bottle of Edinburgh rhubarb And ginger gin as a gift at Xmas. It's not ridiculously priced and it's one of the nicest I've had ( I like gin 😀)

RampantIvy · 27/01/2023 22:57

As someone who enjoys the juniper taste of gin my favourites are Tanqueray and Gordon's.

If they love gin they may not thank you for flavoured gins which are for people who don't like gin IMO

A local one either to where you or they live? There's so many micro distillers now there's nearly always one not too far away.

Ravenouscrab · 27/01/2023 23:03

My favourite is Whitby Gin Prince of Darkness. It's amazing. Not cheap but you won't be sorry when you taste it!

trashcansinatra · 27/01/2023 23:10

Cotswold
Tarquin's
Palma

Generally though, you get what you pay for, so more money = better quality.

AnnaBegins · 27/01/2023 23:10

I really like Martin Miller's, or Cambridge dry gin.

Iloveabaconbutty · 27/01/2023 23:18

I enjoy many gins but Gordon's (though its been around for ever) remains an extremely good gin and excellent value for money. The late Queen's favourite gin too I believe.

But if you want to go for something slightly less we'll known there is Roku - it's Japanese and I'm enjoying a bottle at the moment which was Christmas gift. A really excellent gin.

Then again, there's Hendricks with a slice of cucumber......

Readybrek999 · 27/01/2023 23:22

Good old fashioned Gordon's.

Mombingo · 27/01/2023 23:24
