Best jacket potato fillings?

Jacket potatoes are in the oven crisping up nicely. What are your favourite fillings? I normally just default to a monsoon of beans and cheese 😋

Definitely Coronation chicken for me ‘though I also like cheese and chive dip with jacket potatoes or grated cheese, chopped spring onion and mayonnaise as a filling.
Must have plenty of butter and salt too!

I always have grand plans but beans and cheese is where it's at.

@TheMindfulMum As long as you’ve got cheese on top of the beans as well, that sounds excellent. I might have to try this!

I only ever have cheese and coleslaw, it’s so yummy.

Good quality butter and Marmite is delicious too and for some unknown reason I always have to have a little gem, cucumber, cornichon, spring onion and grated carrot salad with it.

Egg mayo!! I've never had this but ill definitely try it when it's a bit warmer!

Cheese with beans on top and tuna mayo on top of the beans... sounds gross, is DELICIOUS!

My go to is cheese and beans.

I’m making a chilli and the leftovers will go in a jacket.
Also like cheese and coleslaw.
Today I had tuna crunch Mayo.
My work has baked potatoes on the menu every day, if I don’t like the hot meal, I’ll go for the potato. Sometimes they have prawn Marie Rose.

Do you make or buy the garlic mushrooms?

It’s got to be cheese and beans in the winter and coleslaw and cheese in the summer, classic!

Cottage cheese (has to be Longley Farm natural) and a nice chunky coleslaw on a Vivaldi potato (they taste buttery so no need for butter) .....perfection!

Grated cheese, diced tomato, red onion, mayo, cooked crispy bacon bits, mayo, salt and pepper.

Heaven.

Whose coleslaw do you buy? I like coleslaw but find it a little underwhelming and haven't bought it in so long for that reason.

Absolute no to beans in a jacket potato. I.like cottage cheese with a salad. My favourite was when I was a student,Spud u like chopped egg,mayonnaise and grated cheese. Now I use a cheese triangle instead of mayonnaise, and add a bit of chopped onion. Delicious

Bacon, chopped, sautéed mushrooms and either cheddar or blue cheese grated/crumbled over.

I want a jacket potato now, but I’ve finished dinner.

I almost put in my pp above that I always layer my cheese and beans (always ending with cheese on the top!) but I thought, that just sounds like I’ve got way too much time on my hands when actually I don’t have bloomin any! But it’s obviously important info on this thread. I have definitely found my jacket potato people! 😁.

I only eat jacket potatoes if it's tuna mayo with lots of grated cheese, it was a favourite school canteen meal.

Would love to try one with sour cream and lots of caviar, as seen in some famous restaurants... but don't think I will ever get to!

Now this has made me wonder if Boursin might be a great alternative to my initial add of butter when I first slice the jacket open. Yum!
