Waffle and his owners are twats

I know it’s been done, but DS is going through a Waffle phase. He has ASD and goes through things like these - were currently watching the same one or two episodes on hard rotation, and he keeps quoting the script at me as well. It is driving me insane, so I shall proceed to vent:

• Waffle has a stupid voice
• The theme song is also stupid
• His family are appalling neighbours! They keep letting their dog invade Mrs Hobbs house, alarm her cat and flood her fucking kitchen, and just say ‘Ooooh Waffle that was very silly’ 😯 They deserve an ASBO!
• Mrs Hobbs is the true hero for not slashing their tyres in the night after months of canine harassment. And she should definitely call the police on the dad, who keeps crawling through a hole in the cupboard and invading her home, the creepy sod
• The bloke with all the other dogs is also a creepy twat. Bleurgh. He gives me the creeps
• The one with all the loo roll is even worse than the flooded kitchen one

Please god DS will find a new obsession soon… meanwhile I am Team Hobbs

It is dreadful. I hope DS finds something new, soon (… and that it isn’t Molly and Mack and the great hub).

The only thing worse would be Topsy and Tim. Irksome little shits.

I agree that they are a dreadful family.

I admit though that once I binged watched every episode once as DD wanted the same ones and I wanted to know what happened next.

Mind you I am aged 44 and also watching Mallory Towers so there’s no hope here. I also watch Bluey on my own as DD not keen.

Team Hobbs though for sure. We are a cat family!

My youngest loves Molly and Mack at the moment, blows his whistle shouts ‘the big hub is now open’ then I have to buy something before he whistles and closes the big hub. Over and over and over again!

We’re very much a dog family, but the Brooklyn-Bells are twats! Waffle is an innocent victim of terrible dog owners. He needs some clicker training and for the damn hole to be blocked up, good grief.

Thank the maker, we’ve moved onto his other current obsession which is Dog Squad. At least there’s an educational element to that, and no spontaneous musical numbers from a be-dressing gowned eejit

I thought this was going to be about Evie's poor teacher and her dog allergy. Oh look now she's started sneezing because Waffle has been smuggled into her classroom (again). Hilarious.

What is it with kids shows and dogs? In my day it was Come Outside and Nurse Gladys with her complete disregard for Pippin's welfare. That dog carried that show, I tell you. She was jealous, that's why she kept leaving him places.

Yes! Just get a builder for that fucking hole and 90% of their problems would be solved! Yet 4 seasons in they’re still bemused by it.

Waffle is the one show on CBeebies that makes my blood boil. The poor example of dog ownership is the worst part, I cringed so hard when he was chewing one of the kids toys and she was like “oh waffle” and ran up to
him and hugged him… that’s a sure fire way of some kid getting their face bitten off.

I love Waffle and I so wished that the pandemic hadn’t halted another season as I really wanted to know what would have happened when the deadbeat dad came back (I mean seriously, he hadn’t seen her for 4/5 years, what’s that all about)?!

His family are complete arseholes. Especially the episode where he's flooded Mrs Hobbs kitchen and they're all laughing and playing in it! Makes me unreasonably angry!

And this is why you see so many bloody 'Waffles' when walking the dog. Mongrels the lot of them. Silly moustached expensive excuses for cuddly toys owned by silly people😜

Look up, look down, look all around... my guess is that "dog" is one of the first words kids learn, plus you can easily train a dog to fetch and carry things, perform as a main character, etc.Come Outside was brilliant. Auntie Mabel showing us how toothpaste is made was weirdly soothing...

It's not on that often these days but it used to kick off the day on CBeebies (maybe a year ago?) and it was too long (and too horrendous).

@foxp3 it still comes on early mornings sometimes. It goes straight off again here. Goggy fucking giya, at 6 in the morning? I think the fuck not.
