Waffle and his owners are twats

I know it’s been done, but DS is going through a Waffle phase. He has ASD and goes through things like these - were currently watching the same one or two episodes on hard rotation, and he keeps quoting the script at me as well. It is driving me insane, so I shall proceed to vent:

  • Waffle has a stupid voice
  • The theme song is also stupid
  • His family are appalling neighbours! They keep letting their dog invade Mrs Hobbs house, alarm her cat and flood her fucking kitchen, and just say ‘Ooooh Waffle that was very silly’ 😯 They deserve an ASBO!
  • Mrs Hobbs is the true hero for not slashing their tyres in the night after months of canine harassment. And she should definitely call the police on the dad, who keeps crawling through a hole in the cupboard and invading her home, the creepy sod
  • The bloke with all the other dogs is also a creepy twat. Bleurgh. He gives me the creeps
  • The one with all the loo roll is even worse than the flooded kitchen one

Please god DS will find a new obsession soon… meanwhile I am Team Hobbs

We had a Duggee phase. It was a halcyon time. Bloody love Duggee.

I keep trying to get DS back into but he’s having none of it 😞

Baby Jake is hideous. I have seen it but fortunately it’s not one DD liked. Plus on far too early for her ladyship who generally rises after 8.30am. I am grateful.

Paw Patrol is my life now. It lasts forever and now the house is full of plastic merch. Urrggh. I miss the beautiful wooden Grimm’s toys days.

Oh @Spudlet I'm so sorry. I really don't like Waffle either. Our DD is 9 but we still love Duggee.

I used to love Waffle, but the episodes where he is officially enrolled as a pupil at the school pushed me to the edge tbh...

What is it with kids shows and dogs? In my day it was Come Outside and Nurse Gladys with her complete disregard for Pippin's welfare. That dog carried that show, I tell you. She was jealous, that's why she kept leaving him places.

At one of my first Parents' Evenings, we got to read some of the children's stories. A considerable number had written ones where Pippin got into the plane and flew off, leaving Aunty Mabel behind forever.

DD's first effort had said (in dying spider scrawl) 'Look up, look doewn look all arownd, Aunty Mabels lost that por blude dog agen.'

I was more careful to modify my language at home after that point.

Mrs Hobbs needs to put Mr Willow into an armlock and remove him from the premises. You know you’ve gone too far when even the Be-dressing-gowned Twat is giving you side-eye.

Oh God, that bloody programme. I remember catching an episode once where the entire community was throwing a birthday party for Waffle. It looked like the latter stages of a cult.

Baby Jake is peculiar.

Peter Rabbit in all his various animated guises can do one, fucking tea leaf that he is. YOUR OWN DAD CAME A CROPPER NICKING STUFF FROM MR MCGREGOR HOW WELL DO YOU RECKON YOU'LL DO SUNSHINE

Duggee is genius. DTSs are now a bit too old for it now though. Sorrow.

We were the first cohort to have Night Garden with DS1 (now 17) - he adored it. He loved Yo Gabba Gabba too although that seems to have disappeared completely (unless anyone knows different)

I get this irate about Peppa pig. Shes fucking rude and entitled. And dont get me started on Mrs rabbit.

Thankfully my DD has got into Messy goes to Okido and its educational but sweet.
Also, Dog squad is good.

Waffles voice is VERY annoying!

I like waffle!

We're on a combo of true and the rainbow kingdom, voiced by dino dana (the previous asd obsession) and go Jetters (one of them is voices by Thomas the tank guy, the asd obsession before dino dana) 😭

I loved Woof. I had a book of it too. I'm not sure which came first though.
