Waffle and his owners are twats

I know it’s been done, but DS is going through a Waffle phase. He has ASD and goes through things like these - were currently watching the same one or two episodes on hard rotation, and he keeps quoting the script at me as well. It is driving me insane, so I shall proceed to vent:

  • Waffle has a stupid voice
  • The theme song is also stupid
  • His family are appalling neighbours! They keep letting their dog invade Mrs Hobbs house, alarm her cat and flood her fucking kitchen, and just say ‘Ooooh Waffle that was very silly’ 😯 They deserve an ASBO!
  • Mrs Hobbs is the true hero for not slashing their tyres in the night after months of canine harassment. And she should definitely call the police on the dad, who keeps crawling through a hole in the cupboard and invading her home, the creepy sod
  • The bloke with all the other dogs is also a creepy twat. Bleurgh. He gives me the creeps
  • The one with all the loo roll is even worse than the flooded kitchen one

Please god DS will find a new obsession soon… meanwhile I am Team Hobbs

Oh I have found my people. Waffle is an absolute cunt he really pisses me off with his annoying voice.
The show that makes my blood boil is 'Do you know' with fucking Maddie she really pisses me off.
Andy adventures is ok if you can get passed is ridiculous smile and fake tan.
I can't wait to never see cbeebies again 😔

Our youngest has just moved on from cbeebies. He loved Waffle- unfortunately.

He also loved Molly and Mack, which was a shame.

The TV needed a rest during Mr Tumble (I love Justin and what he does but sometimes I just couldn't hack the voice he does and the colour of the cottage walls).

Duggie is amazing especially the bits of techno and the Partridge in a pear tree Duggie version.

In the the night garden was scary and unsettling. A blimp that looked like a tit that made fart noises (if memory serves me correctly). Just weird.

Posted too soon! Bing is enraging, but my biggest hate was Biggleton. Weird set and Eamon Holmes. Gave me the creeps!

Bing, Waffle, and modern Peter Rabbit (which seems to be a completely castrated, bastardised, Americanised parody of the Beatrix Potter books) all need to be put down.

My eldest DD also goes through phases like this. We have had Waffle, Topsy and Tim, Molly and Mack. Now its Our Family. DD1 is 7. Even my her 4yo sister is getting annoyed.

We are just starting to move out of the CBeebies phase and there is not one show mentioned that I will miss.

That said we are stuck in a grizzy and the lemmings loop on Netflix and can’t see that ending any time soon.

in the meantime I do wish they would stop making programmes where dogs are great and cats are shit.

We've moved away from CBeebies my daughter loved Molly & Mack and actually has a toy waffle dog 😭

She's moved on to Disney plus and watches Bluey on repeat 😳

Mine are in school now and there's lots of Horrible Histories, Mallory Towers, Shaun the Sheep, Dangermouse etc.

But periodically they go on a nostalgia blast of CBeebies..... Jeesus. The only thing I like is Numberblocks.

Fucking hate Waffle, we’ve seen all the episodes about five times now. Terrible acting from the adult actors, although I suppose they don’t have amazing source material to work with. The house is a mess too, I can only image the set designer splits their time between Waffle and Mr Tumble’s pad.

DH is of the opinion that the woman who plays Jess is “quite sexy” despite her tabard-wearing ways outside of work. When I turned to a male friend for reassurance that DH was talking shit he in fact replied “Ooooh yes, I totally see what he means!”. Traitors.

I have had the Messy Goes to Okido theme tune stuck in my head for approx 2 weeks now. Nothing has helped. I'm quite insane now.

My 2 year old loves Baby Jake at the moment! He dances around singing “Goggy-geeya” constantly and it drives me nuts!
(My 5 year old loves Bluey, which DH and I quite enjoy too! DH is currently trying to “be more Bandit” in his parenting style at the moment!)

😂 I am loving you’ve waffle vent!!….. I have worked with many children who have got ‘ stuck’ on something …. Or a section of something …. I think humour is the only way to survive it . I Have always hated that stupid pink dinosaur … Barney … and have always been grateful he hasn’t featured as a topic of interest ! Good luck…, I have never seen ‘ waffle’ but have heard the ‘ wonder dog ‘ tag line…. Although following your post, I have my reservations about just how wonderful he is. May your humour continue to carry you though xxxx
