I'll have sausage roll, chips and beans please, with butterscotch tart for pudding.

And seconds of cracknell and custard.

I’ll have a drifter and Nik naks (spicy) from the vending machine 😆

GoodVibesHere · 09/01/2023 09:45

A huge pizza slice followed by a chocolate cornflake square please Miss!

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 09/01/2023 09:46

Sausage chips and beans, a pink iced bun (that one with the most icing) and a banana milkshake carton. Thanks miss!

Startuplife · 09/01/2023 09:51

We used to have this insane pizza that was square shaped and super deep. I’ve never had pizza since with such fluffy dough.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/01/2023 09:51

Tinned beef ravioli, roast potatoes, flabby green beans. Steamed jam roll. Seconds of both, if possible! Many thanks.

Pipsickl · 09/01/2023 09:53

Sausage roll, chips and a blue 10p drink. Followed by 30ps worth of flumps.

I had this most days between year 8 and 11. I was a size 8. Lol

Tiredmumno1 · 09/01/2023 09:53

For DH a hot dog and a slice of old school cake.

And me a burger in a soft bap with a slice of old school cake. 😋

Ta 😊

I once had a burger and chips, when I bit into it, the 'burger' inside wasn't a whole burger, it was like a pineapple ring, with the middle cut out 😂

My primary school dinners were fantastic though, sometimes we'd have eclairs, the roast potatoes were delicious, you could have a choice of meal, salad or sandwich. Secondary was not as good.

I think chips were just about the only edible thing, along with the cake

Our snack bar at first break used to do the most amazing chip rolls for 25p, I used to have 2 most mornings, along with school dinners and a jubbly from the ice cream van and a can of apple tango at some point in the day!

I used to walk there and back though so that was at least 6 miles a day just going to and from.

Chicken, bacon and mayo baguette with a bowl of chips and a slice of school cake, carton of milk. Yes I was a chubbster.

Snoopfroggyfrogg · 09/01/2023 11:17

Meat and potato pie (although I'm now veggie), seconds of veg, and syrup sponge and custard. Thanks Miss!

BumpyaDaisyevna · 09/01/2023 11:23

Spam fritter mash and gravy.

Treacle sponge n custard for pud.

Ah those were the days. Our primary was tiny but still had its own kitchen and three dinner ladies. I still remember the formidable Mrs. Clarkson:

"Oh please may I ' ave extra chips - please Mrs C?"

"Maureen - have you heard the cheek of these here childer?

"Ah go on, Mrs C!!"

"Ye'll get what yer given yer greedy little beggar!"

(Said with twinkle in eye as huge portion of chips dolloped on plate!)

Uninterestedfamily · 09/01/2023 11:28

Steak (mince) pie with mash, peas and gravy then a doughnut (never had doughnuts as good since), followed by another free doughnut as my mate's mum was a dinner lady. I was so skinny then too.

AdaColeman · 09/01/2023 11:30

Liver with onion gravy and mash.
Gypsy tart for pudding.

KnitterNat · 09/01/2023 11:41

My school used to do a sort of quiche Lorraine which was objectively appalling (cardboard pastry plus weird eggy, cheese layer, far too salty and so hot it would take the roof of your mouth off) but actually possibly the best thing I have ever eaten. So I'll have that plus jelly and some ice cream in a paper roll.

Haha yes. Used to live on this so I could spend the rest of my dinner money on tabs and white cider on a weekend

IHeartGeneHunt · 09/01/2023 11:44

Turkey drummer, chips and gravy, and a sultana flapjack

If it's break time I'll have a tomato soup in a plastic cup and a pink iced bun!

Sparkletastic · 09/01/2023 11:45

Macaroni cheese and a chocolate chunk cookie please. Wham Bar from the 5th year common room for break time teeth ruination.

HaddawayAndShite · 09/01/2023 11:45

Primary - if you were lucky enough to get to go first I’d have an egg and cress cob and chips. Plus jam rolly polly and custard.

HighSchool - crisp and chocolate so I could save dinner money as above.

6th form - the greyest Turkey burger ever… looked absolutely rank but something so satisfying

Ravageur · 09/01/2023 11:46

I went out for lunch for a 45p pie and liquor or a 50p chips in a loaf (most of the bread pulled out for the birds) and then 2oz of them little sober balls or aniseed balls

IHeartGeneHunt · 09/01/2023 11:46

But when I was in year 11 and too cool for the lunch queue, I had tomato Wheat Crunchies and a Lilt for the whole school year. Sometimes a mint Aero if I was feeling flush.

Ravageur · 09/01/2023 11:46

*silver!

ShakeYourFeathers · 09/01/2023 11:48

Please Can I have sausages chips and beans. And a slab of cake don't mind which one with pink custard. Thank you
