LadyGaGasPokerFace · 08/01/2023 11:45

Hobnobswantshernameback · 08/01/2023 11:51

Chicken dinner with a load of veg.
Feel the need for some simple comfort food

Winterborne74 · 08/01/2023 11:51

Beef braised in Guinness, mash and red cabbage. Guinness and red cabbage are left overs and need using up. Substitution meant less beef than ordered, so will be padded out with carrots and ancient parsnips (no bad thing).

Beef chilli is in the slow cooker. Smells great! Will serve with avocado, tortilla chips, taco shells, cheese & sour cream however people want. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

whatisforteamum · 08/01/2023 14:50

Sausage mash and onion gravy.

Plump82 · 08/01/2023 14:53

Warm out lentil salad with roasted cauliflower, brussel sprouts and carrots. I'll flavour the cauliflower with some za'atar and Ras El Hanout and then top with a tahini dressing, pomegranate molasses and toasted seeds.

Plump82 · 08/01/2023 14:53

Sorry to quote myself 🤣

I went to the pub when I got to London and I'm still there now. I had a jacket potato and I think I'm going to have chocolate fudge cake with some ice cream.

TheChippendenSpook · 08/01/2023 15:23

Also, sorry for the layout of my last post. One vodka has gone to my head!

jellybe · 08/01/2023 15:24

Breakfast. Now and again all the kids want for dinner is a full fry up 😁

DoubleShotEspresso · 08/01/2023 15:25

Full chicken roast here too I'm really feeling wintry today! Roast potatoes, steamed Savoy cabbage and peas, roasted parsnips, carrot and swede creamed mash and cauliflower, broccoli & leek cheese bake
Am intending to bake a glazed Sicilian orange cake but will see how homework goes!

Pork loin with chimichurri, fried potatoes, and green beans

NoDairyNoProblem · 08/01/2023 15:31

Garlic and herb roast rolled turkey breasts with crushed baby potatoes and savoy cabbage plus homemade gravy.
We had to freeze it on Christmas Eve when we opened the butchers order to put in the fridge and discovered it was part of the ‘festive pack’ we ordered alongside the whole turkey 🤦🏻‍♀️
