This www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/easy-sausage-casserole/

Easy, tasty and comfort food. Much needed with this shitty wet weather.

Jacket potatoes with cheese and beans. Like and salt on the skins so they go nice and crispy and microwaved for a bit first so they're definitely soft and fluffy in the middle.

How long do you microwave them for? Mine tend to sag in the middle these days.

cloudychance · 08/01/2023 15:49

Sausages, chips and beans! I feel comfort food is key on Sunday night. Although would kill for a roast!

WomanhoodIsABirthright · 08/01/2023 15:55

Frikandellen hotdogs and salad.

Giggorata · 08/01/2023 15:56

RewildingAmbridge · 08/01/2023 16:01

Not doing a roast today as we had roast spiced chicken, sweet potato mash and shredded sautéed sprouts with garlic and chilli yesterday.
I've got a paella on the go, went for a long walk on the beach this morning and it's chucking down this afternoon, DH is working overtime, so asked DS what to do this afternoon, he said puzzles and cooking. So that's what we're doing!

ArrrMeHearties · 08/01/2023 16:03

Good old spaghetti bolognese

Bunnynames101 · 08/01/2023 16:06

Either a protein shake or mash, yorkies and gravy...

Anniecott · 08/01/2023 16:07

Hubby is cooking a full on chicken roast today, as I am on bed rest after having a procedure on my back earlier in the week and feeling like shit, so he's gone for comfort food, not sure how much I'll manage to eat as I'm in agony, but the thoughts sweet.

BodyShapeWoes · 08/01/2023 16:11

Gammon with an orange and honey glaze…
cant decide between mash or roast potatoes
home made yums yums for afters

saying that DH cooked a breakfast/brunch and I’m not really hungry at the moment so will be a later dinner tonight I think

StarDanced · 08/01/2023 16:12

Butternut squash carbonara and garlic bread followed by chocolate cheesecake

AlwaysCountYourPennies · 08/01/2023 16:17

Honey and mustard pork casserole with baby new potatoes, peas, carrots and broccoli.
We don't usually have dessert but there is plenty of fruit, ice cream and yoghurt if anyone wants something.

lookypooky · 08/01/2023 16:22

Usually do a roast dinner on a Sunday but we had one on Tuesday, so we are having a home made curry tonight with the usual sides (home made naan, chapati etc). DH is Indian so it's (usually) delicious 😋

TrianglePlayer · 08/01/2023 16:24

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, veg and gravy. Probably no leftovers.

Ragwort · 08/01/2023 16:28

BBQ steak (cooked in the garage !), potato wedges, peas and mushrooms plus a bit of salad. Also made some old fashioned chocolate pots - such an easy recipe - had forgotten all about it!
Plus red wine obviously.

Ragwort · 08/01/2023 16:29

I love roast chicken .. DH isn't keen .. he's away next weekend and I am already planning the feast I will cook Grin.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 08/01/2023 16:29

@TheChippendenSpook 3 big potatoes I do 15 mins in the microwave then I rub oil and salt on the skin and give them an hour at gas 5 to get them properly crispy.

ThreeRingCircus · 08/01/2023 16:29

Turkey and gammon pie (made with the Christmas leftovers and been in the freezer since) with roast potatoes, peas and sweetcorn.
