Ever slapped someone across the face?

Settled down to Midsomer Murders on the telly and there was a scene of a bickering couple which ended with the woman slapping the poor chap across the face.

Anyone actually had a go IRL?!

Yes. My boyfriend was cheating on me. Saw him in a nightclub being pretty blatant and proud about it with his new beau. Went up to him and slapped him.
I am not going to lie, it felt good at the time.

Annabananna1 · 07/01/2023 22:07

Yes. Similar reason to the above.

MyWillyBrokeTheDogBowl · 07/01/2023 22:07

No but my brother grabbed me by the collar and broke my necklace 😔

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 07/01/2023 22:09

Yes. Some random bloke grabbed my arse in a bar

Mmotherknowsbest · 07/01/2023 22:10

A man put his hand up my skirt when I was leaning over the bar ordering a drink. It was about 15 years ago. I'm glad I did it.

Dontlistitonfacebook · 07/01/2023 22:11

No but I have had it done to me ( attacked by a client at work).

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 07/01/2023 22:12

Yep the twat who said "I feel a right tit" whilst grabbing my left breast. Felt very satisfying too.

LizzieSiddal · 07/01/2023 22:14

No never, but if someone was sexually assaulting me as some posters have described, I would hopefully punch them in the face. My dad taught me to punch as a teenager and made me practice often, just in case.

SaorsaSolasta · 07/01/2023 22:16

Yes, out drinking and a guy I was with thought it would be funny to tip the table and make my drink spill over me... would never have done it if I wasn't drunk but he had it coming honestly

largeprintagathachristie · 07/01/2023 22:17

Yes! With a proper swing behind it, too! It was in a club at least twenty years ago. I realised a guy behind me was miming something really sexual and offensive and before I knew it I’d turned and slapped him in the face.

He admitted he’d deserved it.

LadyOfTheFliessssss · 07/01/2023 22:18

I was dating an abusive man years and years ago.

He'd got me to meet him in his car so he could accuse me of this, that, or the other. He then tried to attack me. But because I was in the passenger seat, I had my right arm free and I immediately started punching him and didn't stop for a few minutes to make sure I'd put him down.

His face was a mess. He ended up going home crying to his mum!

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 07/01/2023 22:21

Yes. I was about 12 and a boy at school randomly slapped me for no reason. Hard.

Total reflex - I slapped him back as hard as I could.

I was really quiet and goody two shoes at school, I'm not sure which of the two of us was more shocked.

A boyfriend once said "woof woof" to me (implying bitch). I tipped his pint over his head.

I was once hit across the face. A guy, very drunk, went for a mate in a busy pub where he couldn't get through, went to slap him, mate ducked, and he caught me right across the chops! It flippin hurt but was also hilarious for those spectating

Shannith · 07/01/2023 22:24

I spun and punched a man in the face - hard - who put his hand up my skirt - twice. I couldn't see who did it the first time. He smirked at me when he saw I'd clocked him. It was a proper club club if that makes sense and so far from anything that had ever happened there before. We went to dance!

Knocked him onto his back and had to be dragged away. Total wanker - but I felt like Buffy.

Bepis · 07/01/2023 22:25

Yes, only once in my entire life and it was an abusive relationship. ExH came up to me right in my face and called me a slag. I slapped him.

Screwcorona · 07/01/2023 22:31

Yes. My mum. After she slapped me across the face for a very minor disagreement at about 13 years old. Shouldn't have felt like I needed to do that. I disagree with hitting children after my upbringing

SeemsSoUnfair · 07/01/2023 22:31

I have slapped someone twice, both were reactions that surprised me.

First was when I was 18 (1987ish) and a bloke (23) in our friendship group I had been talking to and we were flirting a bit over a couple of weeks took hold of my shirt collar and peeked down the front of my shirt. I was that shocked I automatically slapped him hard before my brain even engaged with what I was doing.

2nd time, regrettably, was when I was having an argument with my mum, I would have been around 19-20. I was working two jobs FT 40+ hrs a week with 1hr commute, then working in a local pub 10+ hrs at the weekends. She was a SAHM, never really worked, and we were arguing about me cleaning the family bathroom after a long day at work before going out. I think she genuinely thought she was teaching me how to keep home and be a good wife 🙄, I verbally assaulted her telling her she was lazy and she had no idea how hard it was to do real work - she slapped me hard and I automatically slapped her back 😮, I did realise what I was doing and by the time I made contact it wasnt too hard. Then we just stood and stared at each other in shock, and I went out. It was the only time she, or I, had ever been physical, we never mentioned it again but things changed in our relationship after that day.

No but my brother grabbed me by the collar and broke my necklace 😔

Ha ha brilliant !

NYresolutions23 · 07/01/2023 22:34

Yes my ex in a row spat at me! I slapped him round the face was a good un too. He then punched me as apparently spitting was ok and i was violent and deserved it! Then kicked him out and never looked back.

Threebutterflies · 07/01/2023 22:34

No because I’m the biggest wimp there is going !

MoscowMules · 07/01/2023 22:38

Never sloped but have punched 😳

Was a bloke who pulled my top down exposing me.

I swung like Tyson Fury with my left tit flapping in the wind but didn't care, his nose made a popping sound and blood starts to pour.

I tucked my tit back in and ran away before the bouncers grabbed me.

Hellocatshome · 07/01/2023 22:43

Yes because a man in his 40s was being an absolute lech to me and my friends in a nightclub when we were only 17/18. He wouldn't leave us alone and was being very hands on. He said he could tell I wanted to slap him but he knew I wouldn't dare. So I did, actually a lot harder than I intended. The bouncers were already making their way over to chuck him out due to his behaviour towards women. So he got chucked out and they ignored the fact I had just hit him.

Snowisfallinghere · 07/01/2023 22:43

I felt like I wanted to slap a diet-obsessed male colleague once when he physically poked my belly and made a joke about me being greedy because I started eating a Snickers bar at my desk. (His snack of choice was boring flavourless plain oatcakes). Instead I threw a cup of water over him. I didn't get any more comments about my snacks after that.
