Ever slapped someone across the face?

Settled down to Midsomer Murders on the telly and there was a scene of a bickering couple which ended with the woman slapping the poor chap across the face.

Anyone actually had a go IRL?!

No, but I've been sorely tempted.

I did throw a drink over somebody once though. 😂

QueenAnn · 28/04/2024 12:41

@DitzyDoughnutt I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved baby. If I'd worked with you I'd have (verbally) slapped her for you x

LineMadeByWalking · 28/04/2024 12:46

No, but I did actually punch someone who grabbed my ass on the street and broke his nose. I then called a passing policeman over and explained exactly the succession of events. It was a very satisfying crunch.

Thanks. She had an early miscarriage herself later on and was devastated. So not just a "blob of cells " after all. She went on to have two children.

No but I wish I had. I never do anger at the time something bad happens, I freeze and all my concentration tends to be on getting through the situation and safely away. Then my emotions come out later in other ways.

No never, but if someone was sexually assaulting me as some posters have described, I would hopefully punch them in the face. My dad taught me to punch as a teenager and made me practice often, just in case.

what needs teaching?

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 28/04/2024 14:40

I’ve never hit anyone (apart from my sister when we were kids) but I threw a glass of beer over a man who was groping and taking advantage of my very drunk friend. Surprisingly, he became quite humble and apologetic after I’d given him a good soaking and a piece of my mind. I was 17.

I must say I appear to have been a natural, the one time I punched someone (an assailant, before anyone thinks I just punch passersby..)

MonsteraMama · 28/04/2024 14:46

Twice.

Once a guy put his hand up my skirt in a club, and I just instinctively slapped him. He whined off to the bouncer who just laughed at him. Weird times.

Second time a guy called my then four year old daughter a whiny little cunt, in front of her. I appreciate smacking him as hard as I could in the mouth probably wasn't the best example to my daughter but I felt it needed to be done.

WellYesItsMeofcourse · 28/04/2024 14:49

Yes - after I had a MMC my sister decided to have a go at me one day and mentioned it (very negative language and very upsetting) she then kept following me as I tried to walk away (because I was very very angry and upset) if she had let me it would have diffused the situation but she kept following and saying stuff so I slapped her really really hard round the face. She then called 999 and had me arrested.

I'm amazed at this thread. A while ago there was a similar one of women, throwing a shoe, tipping a dinner over their partner, a class of water. Slapped face. They were roundly condemned, told that they were lucky partner hadn't called the police on them because it was assault.

Beatrixslobber · 28/04/2024 14:57

No, never. I have been on the receiving end once, mistaken identity which unfortunately the person slapping realised as I turned and she was slapping me. Bloody hurt and I had been having a lovely night.

What is the reference with the brother and the necklace?

Idontknowwhattodo78 · 28/04/2024 14:59

Slapped someone? No? Punched someone in the face? Yes, twice and also once kneed someone in the balls so hard he vomited. All 3 were after random men groped/assaulted me.

AlwaysCountYourPennies · 28/04/2024 16:53

Ex dh
Married for 16 years. He told me he was seeing someone else " who made him laugh" I slapped him hard"

Hadalifeonce · 28/04/2024 17:05

Once in a nightclub, some bloke grabbed my bottom. Another time in a pub, when a senior manager put his hand up my jumper.

HoneyButterPopcorn · 28/04/2024 17:09

Nope. And as a therapist (ex really) I feel that I was qualified to do so… never had the chance…

afaloren · 28/04/2024 17:18

I have slapped someone before yes. Men. Provoked (by unwanted physical contact). But the most satisfying was when I was 16 and getting up on the bus and a man put his hand up my skirt. I had a bag of books from Waterstones and slammed them into his head!

MyWillyBrokeTheDogBowl · 07/01/2023 22:07

No but my brother grabbed me by the collar and broke my necklace 😔
😂😂😂

I don't get why some posters are laughing at this?

It’s William and Harry. I believe there was also a broken dog bowl.

CeffylCoch · 28/04/2024 17:27

I once punched a cheating ex in the face when I saw him out with another woman. Unfortunately I cut my finger on his tooth and ended up in hospital with blood poisoning. It was the equivalent of a human bite, which is worse than an animal bite apparently.
Another time I was playing pool in a pub when a man lifted my skirt up with a pool cue. He had a pool cue across the side of his head (not too hard - he still laughed - bastard)

Yes. Some random bloke grabbed my arse in a bar

This but I was the barmaid at the time. Told my boss I wasn't there to be sexually assaulted. The guy was a regular and slunk back a few weeks later with his tail between his legs and was a lot more respectful after that.
Also slapped a girl at secondary school who had been bullying me for years.
