Same here, two nights in a row now.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 03/01/2023 03:14

Me too!

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 03/01/2023 03:15

I think I am peri menopausal, why aren’t you all sleeping?

Flipflops123 · 03/01/2023 03:17

Same.

Marmite27 · 03/01/2023 03:17

I had a 3.5hr nap at 6pm. My brain now won’t fucking switch off.

Not helped by having to get up to sort myself out as my period has started.

Seeingadistance · 03/01/2023 03:27

Same here.

PutinSmellsPassItOn · 03/01/2023 03:28

Mebtoo but it's my own fault for finding a rogue chocolate orange and scoffing the lot, I'm now high on sugar and feeling slightly sick. 😬

Glenthebattleostrich · 03/01/2023 03:30

Me too and i need to be up for work in 2.5 hours. It's gonna be a long day.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 03/01/2023 03:32

Right I’m going to the loo and then going to listen to relaxing music, fingers crossed we all get some sleep. Up at 6:30 hopefully.

Glenthebattleostrich · 03/01/2023 03:35

Good luck. I've moved to the sofa and stuck a rubbish movie on so hopefully that'll do it

Me too.
Horrendous anxiety disorder coupled and trying to battle on every single day. Husband about to work away again and just me here with the children.

ArcaneWireless · 03/01/2023 03:38

Snap. I have a bloody long day tomorrow, I’m tired and so unsleepy and the clock is whirring round quicker than I’d like.

healthadvice123 · 03/01/2023 03:42

Same and first day back at work in the morning and dreading it
d1 has awful cough as well so can hear him, not that that would keep me awake normally , but keeping him up all night as well

Lovelycupofcoffee · 03/01/2023 03:48

Same 😣

ReeseWitherfork · 03/01/2023 03:51

I always find a whiskey helps me! Never seems to make it on the official list of suggestions though.

AutumnCrow · 03/01/2023 03:53

Same here. Might have to crank up the laptop and watch a drama or something. I watched the whole of Deadwater Fell last night.

Flipflops123 · 03/01/2023 03:59

I was tempted to have a hot toddy then I remembered I'm doing dry January.
So in the past hour I've googled:

Journals from paper chase
Private healthcare
Holidays to cape cod
Holidays to Costa Rica

I blame Mumsnet!

ColinRobinsonsfamiliar · 03/01/2023 04:02

Perimeno here causing my sleep issues.
Having awful dreams tonight which have woken me up.
First day back tomorrow too. I WFH which means by 2pm I will be falling asleep sitting up at my laptop. There will be an overwhelming want to go and lie down.

Well, you're not exactly great advertising for it working!! 🤔

I fell asleep on the sofa about 8:30, eoje at 29:30, came to bed & haven't been able to sleep!

Another thread (2:15am & wanting coffee) led me to a bottle of baileys! A couple of glasses later & I think I may now be able to sleep. Going to try!!

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 03/01/2023 04:05

Still awake at this rate I’ll be listening to Farming Today.

husbandcallsmepickle · 03/01/2023 04:11

DS (22mo) woke me up at 2.15. Managed to get him back to sleep quickly but I'm still awake 2 hours later

I’d be fast asleep right now if the kids let me. All three have required some active parenting tonight. Not sure I’ve had more than a five minute stint all night, tomorrow is going to be interesting.

I should think Baileys would work in place of whiskey. Tbh I usually drink whatever I reach first. Quick shot of anything does the job!

caringcarer · 03/01/2023 04:31

I never sleep much in night. 2-3 hours at most. I get a nap during day for about 1-2 hours in afternoon. I sleep better sitting upright.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 03/01/2023 04:41

Same here. Horrendous covid sore throat keeping me awake. It’s so so painful. I’ve tried:

gargling with salt water
lozengers
cough mixture
chloraseptic spray
painkillers
lots of water

nothing is working.

Magic tips appreciated.

halfpasteleven · 03/01/2023 04:58

Honey might help, yellow
