Just reached my goal of 52, so one a week. Looking back through my goodreads list though, it all seems to be pretty much one genre! 🤣
How many have you read, and are they all the same genre or do you read more widely? What were your faves?
Mine were:
Midnight Library
The nothing man
The reading list

204 - nearly all history or historical fiction books. I don't mix up my genres much either.

PringlesAreStupidSnacks · 29/12/2022 16:33

Wow that's amazing! I read every night and thought I was a fast reader - obviously not! 🤣 how on earth do you find the time! I am jealous!

A shamefully pathetic number. I am aiming for 25 in 2023.

AuntieMarys · 29/12/2022 16:37

67 this year. I used to read about 200

hiredandsqueak · 29/12/2022 16:37

110 mostly thrillers. Enjoyed books by Neil Lancaster and Nick Louth this year.

FrenchFancie · 29/12/2022 16:38

Oh gosh I did 23 and thought I had done well….
meat way way to much pointless scrolling on my phone, clearly!!

SnuggleBuggleBoo · 29/12/2022 16:40

Wow, I'm jealous guys! I can't concentrate on reading these days. I only ever do it in the bath where tech can't be a distraction but I don't want to ruin nice new books with the steam so I just re-read old ones from my youth!

RettyPriddle · 29/12/2022 16:40

50 and read Shirley Jackson for the first time and enjoyed her books.

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 29/12/2022 16:41

81 - a massive mix of genres because I like modern lit, historical novels, science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, romance, crime.

My best books were The Mirror And The Light, The End Of The Day, and Small Things Like These.

rizzo999 · 29/12/2022 16:41

Just finished number 36, although there were a couple I didn't finish. Aiming for 50 in 2023.

Favourites were Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, Hostage and the Last Paper Crane

imnottoofussed · 29/12/2022 16:41

33 books this year but 72 last year. I've had loads I just couldn't get into this year.

LuciferRising · 29/12/2022 16:43

I think it should be how many pages you have read. War and Peace, and 6 very large Robin Hobb novels feature in my 2022 list.

BuwchGochGota · 29/12/2022 16:44

40 so far, should have finished the 41st by the end of the year.

My favourites:
Small Pleasures by Clare Chambers
Magpie by Elizabeth Day
Oh William! by Elizabeth Strout
The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell.

huddersfieldgoneaway · 29/12/2022 16:44

I'm in the low digits but I'm an audio book reader and keep falling asleep! My favourite was Queenie and I'm delighted to read that the author has written a screenplay for a soon to be on BBC drama- Champions, I think it's called.

SnowAndIceLobelia · 29/12/2022 16:46

How many hours a day are you reading to get through a few hundred books?
