Just reached my goal of 52, so one a week. Looking back through my goodreads list though, it all seems to be pretty much one genre! 🤣
How many have you read, and are they all the same genre or do you read more widely? What were your faves?
Mine were:
Midnight Library
The nothing man
The reading list

171 so far, i will have read at least another 2 by years end

but I’m changing the way I record my book reading from this January

i find I'm in a wee bit of a competition with myself and i want to get back to reading whatever i want, i do read fast but I’m slower on books i have to concentrate on so historical biographies for example or classical literature

so instead of writing the books i read down on a monthly basis and coming up with an annual figure i will just write them in author order. Hopefully this will stop me from trying to read more books than i did last year and it will be easier for me to check what books ive read

its already annoying me that i won’t have hit 180

and now im thinking i should try for 200…..resist, resist 😩

I’ve read 43. My favourites have been: ‘All My Mothers’, ‘Flamingo’ ‘Freckles’ and ‘The Herd’.

People leaving irrelevant comments on threads they have no interest in is also strange.

Maybe you should try reading, give you something else to do?

About 15 I think? I'm very pleased. 2022 was the year I finally got back into reading.

In 2023 I want to keep a track of what I read - haven't decided how yet.

582 (probably another 3 or 4 before the year ends) 📚

Laurap82 · 30/12/2022 09:25

More than last year 😆 no idea the actual number but I get a box of 4 every 3 months and I’ve bought a few extras for holiday and on my kindle. I find it really hard to settle to reading at home unless I can sit in the garden so I read more through the summer months.

Bugbeau · 30/12/2022 09:25

I couldn’t put it down! Just lent it to my sister.

SunshineInMySprocket · 30/12/2022 20:25

I’m currently on 54 which I’m hoping to finish tonight. I had a goal of 60 this year as 50-55 is my usual rate but studying and starting a new job scuppered my plans.

My book of 2022 was Lessons in Chemistry. I bought it for everyone I know and recommended it far & wide. Looking forward to going to listen to the author (Bonnie Garmus) in February.
