Amazing hotel for DHs 60th. Help??

DH has no idea what he wants to do for his 60th. He loves a great boutique hotel, fabulous food, lovely scenery and walks. We can go anywhere in the UK. We live in the east of Scotland and would like to go further afield. Not Edinburgh. He works there and it wouldn't be the right vibe for his special birthday. Not London either. We are going there in May for things he booked for my 60th. His birthday is October. Any ideas?

Chateau Rhianfa in Beaumaris is very nice. Very high-spec but quirky rooms (when I stayed there, we had a circular bathroom that was in a turret) and it's close to some fabulous scenery and walks. The restaurant serves lovely food too.

Where though? DD1 lives in Leeds so we are fairly familiar with the area.

We have been to Gleneagles. It was fabulous but maybe to close to where we used to live.

I've been looking for an excuse to revisit The West Arms in the Welsh borders... maybe for my 60th?

Not a hotel, but how about the hunting tower on the Chatsworth estate? Loads of great places to eat nearby, stunning grounds with loads of walks. And then there's the house😍itself

Also love the look of Burgh Island but not yet been !

Lake District?? Only 2 hours from Glasgow

We went to visit Chatsworth in 2021 and it was so beautiful.

The fyfe arms - it’s lovely - or head to skye and go to the three chimneys

Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons Oxfordshire is out of this world, fantastic rooms, food and atmosphere. Superb.

My brother & SIL went to Cromlix House recently for a special occasion. Said it was amazing & they'd love to go back
