If you hate Christmas pudding, what alternative dessert are you having?

I'll start. Homemade choc chip cake with old skool chocolate custard, bonus points if I manage to get it to form a leathery skin... yum 😍

I don't mind Christmas pudding, but we're having apple strudel this year, with proper strudel pastry.

Apple pie. My grandad always had it instead of Christmas pudding and I’ve always followed suit. Have to have a Christmas pudding to light though even though I’m not keen.

I made a figgy pudding one year and it was amazing.

My uncle once made chestnut chocolate bombshell that was also a wonderful alternative

DH doesn't like Christmas pudding, so usually has something chocolatey. Which everyone else wants a piece of too! This year it's a Yule log from Asda. Previously, chocolate bombe desserts from Lidl, black forest gateau one year. In the olden days pre children, I used to make things like individual chocolate fondant puddings

Luckily I like both so will have two puddings 🤣

We have tiramisu and cheesecake and I’m making a pavlova tomorrow. There’s also a Vienetta in the freezer.

Xmas Day we'll have Xmas pud and rum butter, and a homemade Baileys cheesecake

Boxing Day will be raspberry and sherry trifle, and a chocolate pudding.

Fizzy jelly and ice cream

At some point over the holiday we'll also have Queen of pudding which is my favourite.

Pies (chocolate pecan, spiced sweet potato) with ice cream (vanilla, rum and raisin). Mix and (mis)match.

Homemade dark chocolate fudge cake, with pouring cream and salted caramel icecream.

Delia's frozen xmas pudding from the original Delia's Xmas. I did it once years ago and fancy it this year, I loathe Xmas pudding but DH allegedly likes it

Home made strawberry flan with cream or ice cream. And about 20kg of chocolate related products.

Vanilla cheesecake on Christmas Eve and M&S chocolate & hazelnut gateau with vanilla ice cream on Christmas Day. Also mince pies and chocolate truffles to nibble.
