So sad to hear of his death.

Gutted. His body of work was brilliant. And, growing up in neighbouring Birmingham, The Specials were part of my musical rites of passage. Love The Colourfield too.

It's too sad. As a Coventry Kid born in the 70s I grew up listening to The Specials and The Selector. Two Tone was interwoven into the Coventry musical landscape. RIP Terry

Really saddened by this. The Specials and Fun Boy Three were the music of my youth, and Terry Hall did some fantastic later albums. Aw man.

Was so shocked to read that he was abducted by a pedophile ring at the age of 12. He was abused for 4 days. It affected his whole life. So sad. Such a lovely talented man

Unbelievable. He was my youth club days and then my student days with Colourfield. Hey, Little Richgirl was my favourite. Castles in the air I listened to on repeat. Weve lost so many this year.

RIP Terry. My husband actually cried.

The voice, the lyrics, the style, attitude. I adore The Specials.

I have a handful of songs that are real flashbulb memories for me. I vividly remember in detail where I was, the exact moment in time when I heard Gangsters by The Specials for the 1st time. And Ghost Town scared me as a teenager because it just seemed to be the soundtrack of a hugely volatile year. Terry Hall was so unique. I hope his passing was peaceful.

Just seen so sad. Such a talent and influence
