Crumpets!

What else can I put on my crumpets apart from golden syrup? The kids have Nutella but I'm not a fan.

Jam, curd, cheese, marmite

Definitely Marmite

Marmite, cheddar, thickly sliced onion then back under grill to melt.

Pizza crumpets - lightly toast, then add tomato puree, cheese and oregano and grill to melt the cheese. Et voila

Jam, preferably apricot

Just lots of butter. Why ruin perfection?

Butter. Then a very thin layer of strawberry jam.

Nutella and lidls Morello cherry jam..

Giner and rhubarb jam is my latest discovery and works well with crumpets.

Or just butter and dunk them in soup

I had butter and pate earlier. Yum.

Lots of salted butter, then lots of cream cheese, then lots of salt and pepper. You can thank me later.

Baked beans, or just butter! Can’t be doing with sweet things on crumpets!

Drizzle Amaretto into the holes and seal over with Nutella

Enough salted butter that it forms a litre pool underneath and the crumpets go sort of translucent.
Failing that what a load of grated extra mature cheddar and under the grill. A bit of Worcestershire sauce or franks hot sauce if you're feeling cheeky.

Toasted until very dark and hard on the top, then lots of butter - sometimes marmite too.
crumpets are savoury for me, definitely not sweet!

Lashings of butter and a smidge of marmite. Well lush!

Definitely butter. Butter and jam. Butter and cheese. Butter, jam and blue cheese. Heaven.

Vegemite.

Toast till crisp and dark brown on top, then a gallon of salted butter. Just that.

Grill them until they are really crispy, then lightly salted butter 😋
