If this is true - and I can only assume it is - I am truly truly saddened. Fleetwood Mac are my favourite band, and Christine is my favourite member.

It seems it's true - Fleetwood Mac have just posted a statement on Facebook.

Such a talent, too bloody young.

(when I say too young, 79 isn't young really is it - it just felt like she was ageless)

I've just heard this too. Very sad. She always seemed so down to Earth and ordinary, not at all affected by fame.

I'll be listening to Songbird and having a bit of a weep later this evening I think.

Oh 😓 She had such a wonderfully unique voice and as I'm sure everyone will say, Songbird is just the most heartfelt, poignant song. She gave us so much beautiful music, love to all her family and the band x
