I was never a huge fan of Steve Wright and he certainly had a lot of detractors.

However, careful what you wish for

Scott Mills is sooo dull

I can't believe that he was the best replacement for Steve wright.

OJ Borg was a fantastic stand in but now this is mind numbingly boring. Thank god it's only 2 hours

Any suggestions for a good show in the afternoon?

I'm just so glad Steve Wright's gone!! I hated his show and would switch over straight away. Scott is a bit full of himself and talks about himself a lot, I'm hoping he will settle into it in a few weeks/months as it's all still pretty new.

I'm glad Steve and his ' no G ' has gone. Past his sell by date and it was dated. Drove me mad
I like Scott , he plays some good tunes

I wish Vernon had been given the afternoon slot. I don't like Zoe's show and keep it really low just to get time checks but Vernon played much better music when he stood in so I actually turned the radio up in the morning when he was on.

It was bad enough SW yakking over records, I was glad he left but Scot Mills is not a good replacement for me.

Wish Ken was on all day, I will switch off Radio 2 totally if he goes.

I didn't think much of Vernon before but whenever he's been on R2 he's been great

Has he finished mentioning The Treadmill challenge yet? Over and over. I've stopped listening. Had the world and his wife on telling him how wonderful he was. Every day.

I don't mind Scott, can't stand OJ. I actually quite liked Steve Wright in the background when at work...

Zoe is fine, Sara will do but Ken will always be my favourite ❤️

I like Scott but preferred a bit of silliness and the bouncing off Chris when he was on R1. It's like they've told him to go serious for the middle aged R2 crowd!!

Vernon is alright on the radio
I don't mind Claudia , but I have to be in the mood for her
Zoe is too bubbly for the mornings
Ken is ace especially pop master

Radio 2 made a grave error by never giving Richard Allinson a daytime show.... He was excellent and is great on GH Radio.

I'm hoping Scott will settle in and find his way. I used to enjoy him on R1. Even if he doesn't he's inoffensive so I can leave him on, whereas Steve Wright could be very irritating.

I do like Trevor Nelson's show though and I would have liked him in the afternoon. Could have given DJ Spoony the evening slot.

I love Gary Davies but think sounds of the 80s is his place with some cover. He's not so great when he does a long run of cover.

Not sure about Vernon, he can get a bit too much, I like his dance show though.

And although Rylan has really grown on me and I do enjoy his Saturday show I don't want him on every weekday. Likewise Liza Tarbuck is brilliant but everyday would be too much.

Can we all agree that Sunday on R2 is dreadful though? Especially as they got rid of pretty much the only half decent DJ in favour of Rob Beckett 😡

I agree that Radio 2 has gone massively downhill. It used to be my go to station but hasn’t been for a long time now.

Zoe Ball is simply awful. She talks a load of tripe trying to come across as young and bubbly but she’s just annoying. When she has guests on, she doesn’t listen to a word they say. She’s dreadful.

Jeremy Vine is another one who doesn’t listen and he’s the very opposite of impartial. I can’t be doing with him. His show is so much better when Vanessa Feltz covers. When he has that doctor on he fawns all over her and she’s dreadful too, patronising and full of herself.

I agree that Rylan and Liza are great on a Saturday but you couldn’t cope with having them on every day.

Graham was good on radio two
I haven't heard him on virgin

Sara's request show is good fun too

I loved Scott and Chris on Radio 1...however I agree, his Radio 2 show is dull and I don't think he wants to be there.
I miss his naughty laugh. I think he needs a new hype man or woman...just want Chris Stark back.
TBH although I'm 58 I find Radio 2 just a bit dull all-round. I don't like the music.
I still listen to Greg James in the morning but otherwise I'm pretty much back to listening to my music on spotify and a bit of Radio 4 and 5
