In a cafe, and a woman has just complained (funny)

She'd ordered a bacon sandwich and it's just been delivered to the table. She's now moaning because her bacon sandwich has a tiny crumb of black pudding on it. And she doesn't eat pork.

I feel for the poor staff having to explain which animal bacon comes from 😬

(And no, there's no vegan bacon on the menu so not a mix up!)

What religions are you referring to @PaidthepiperTuneismine? you’ve still not said. And no more ‘Google it’ nonsense, tell us what religions you believe say pork ok, blood not.

EmmaAgain22 · 15/11/2022 14:53

Oh. My. God.

So when the next pack of bacon I buy has the message "contains pork" I will know why!

also, I can't get past someone thinking that chicken doesn't have a face. Does he picture headless chickens being battery farmed?!

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 15/11/2022 14:53

Laughing at a middle aged eejit who's somehow managed to avoid knowing bacon is made of pig isn't mocking other religions or cultures, ffs.

Thanks for a good laugh, OP.

NO ONE IS LAUGHING AT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS. We’re laughing at a dopey woman who didn’t realise bacon was made from pigs.

I'm pretty sure she didn't think it came from a cow. But let's try to laugh at her.

That’s it. I conclude you are Bacon Sandwich Woman.

It’s the only explanation.

Shannith · 15/11/2022 14:54

@BloodAndFire please change you name to NotBloodAndPork

And feel free to through a quick I AM CANADIAN in too.

Chapeau!

She had no issue with the pork. She had an issue with black pudding. Keep laughing though.

Not my fight. Not my war. I don't like ridiculing people though.

I purposely avoid halal as I don't agree with their slaughter methods. That's me.

Other people avoid non-Halal for other reasons.

Laughing at someone's religious beliefs is against MN rules btw.

Please show me where I have laughed at anyone’s religious beliefs.

So I'm cool with EVERYTHING except the use of the name Karen to describe a seemingly annoying woman.
Just a new thing to kick off about in a deliciously bonkers thread...

Is this a thread inspired name change?

howaboutchocolate · 15/11/2022 14:55

@AnApparitionQuipped
Nobody is laughing at someone because they don't know what animal bacon comes from.
They're laughing at someone who claims they don't eat pork, yet doesn't know what animal bacon comes from.
If you have specific dietary requirements then surely you make it your priority to find out what food is bloody made of. Otherwise yes, you're a bit thick.

I will. Only I’m laughing at you a bit now.

kingtamponthefurred · 15/11/2022 14:56

Is nobody going to complain about pigsplaining?

Harrysnippleno3 · 15/11/2022 14:57

Can you maybe start again? Read the OP?

You said that some religions allow people to eat pork but not black pudding.

Your 'evidence' for this was a paper which you just googled (because you know fuck all about it) which is about JEWISH and MUSLIM dietary laws.

Which religions do you claim allow people to eat pork but not black pudding?

Just answer the question .

She didn't have an issue with the bacon. She had the issue with what she thought was black pudding which is pigs' blood.

She actually had an issue with PORK. As it says in the OP.

SHE. DOES. NOT. EAT. PORK.

PaidthepiperTuneismine · 15/11/2022 14:54

She had a problem with the black pudding because it was made from pigs’ blood.

She said she didn’t eat pork.

She had ordered a bacon sandwich.

She didn’t realise bacon was slices of pig.

That’s funny.

The end.

Does that help? No religion was mentioned. Nothing. You’ve shoehorned in some made-up claims and posted a link to something that disproved what you’d made up.

Most religions outside of Christianity do not condone blood products. Namely Judaism and Islam. The other more fervent one would be Jehovah's Witness.

It literally says in the OP that she complained that she doesn’t eat pork

where on earth are you getting the rest of it from?!

KettrickenSmiled · 15/11/2022 14:59

Herejustforthisone · 15/11/2022 14:47

Read the poxy thread! The OP said she was middle aged, white and with a local accent.

She was just thick as mince. And from I can recall, that’s not a culture.

Pork or lamb mince though @Herejustforthisone ?

No-one’s doing that. People are laughing at you, though, with your invented religion that you refuse to divulge.

Are you claiming that Jews and Muslims are allowed to eat pork if it doesn't contain blood?

Are you actually saying that?

Yes or no?
