Tell me your favourite candle brands that don't cost a bomb!

I love flamingo candles, bath and body works and scavenging in tkmaxx for nice ones...

Not interested in diptyque type brands, no desire to spend £100 on a candle - but equally I don't want something cheap and tacky that barely smells of anything

Seeing as I'm trying to be a bit more hygge and stop hating winter so much, I figured I'd treat myself to a few new ones as I've started to permanently have one burning at my desk while WFH which is quite enjoyable

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I really like the Aldi ones that are the Jo Malone jupes

I think they smell lovely and the smell actually lasts. And think they're about a fiver

I use Glass & Wick wax melts - totally recommend. The fragrance, packaging, customer service and prices (IMO) are excellent.

They also do candles which I haven't tried yet as I like the option to chop and change wax melts but if they are anything like the wax melts, you will not be disappointed.

Another fan of Isle of Skye candles here. I love their machair flowers in the summer, lavender st bedtime. 30% off at the moment too!

I got one from Aldi recently in a purple glass that reminds me of that espa smell you get at hotel spas. Loving it.

Lime, Basil & Mandarin
Sicilian something (not available at the moment)

And Ive a few more to try. I originally got the 'unearthing sample' collection which is 10 diff individual melts to try. That was in the summer so some were more summery scents. I was really impressed with them so ended up subscribing to the monthly 'letter box' sun which gives you 2 x full (6 melts each) packs of seasonal scents and I'm loving it.

I've also bought some for Xmas gifts - the Frankincense and Myrrh one is my total fave at the mo.

Small company called ‘blossom and dye’ do really cool scented candles that look like blocks of marble. Bought a few for friends.

I meant to say, the Xmas ones on the site sound lovely too - mulled wine, gingerbread etc. I'm hoping they turn up in my next few subscription boxes!
