Inspired by some of the rigthmove threads on here, I bring you this cosy house!

Its certainly not to everyone's most peoples taste but you can't deny the love that's gone into decorating it. And look at the price 😳
Decorated with love

It’s too busy for me but it’s really charming and the owners have clearly poured a lot of heart and soul into it. I bet they’re really interesting people!

I love the bird wallpaper too but don’t think I could ever get DH to agree to something like that.

And wow at the price! That’ll buy you a beach hut or two round my way.

HyggeandTea · 15/10/2022 17:53

My god, I love that place 😃

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 15/10/2022 17:54

It’s absolutely bloody glorious. I’d buy it for the gardens alone. The only minus is once the owners remove all their furniture and decorative objects I’d have to start all over again. I wonder how long it took them to get those gardens in the shape they are now, and how they could bear to tear themselves away from it all. It’s a snip! I live quite happily in a far less salubrious neighbourhood than that. If I had the money I’d book a viewing

I love it. It’s just like my house. I think they’ve removed a wall downstairs to make the living room bigger. The stairs wouldn’t have originally been inside the room.
wonder why it’s for sale. It’s clearly a much loved home.

Where I am the terraces were build for workers in a industry locally and the leaseholds still belong to the company. It’s peppercorn. Like £1 a year.

HorsingAround2022 · 15/10/2022 17:55

I love it, it’s so nice to see a house with character rather than the usual grey and white.

fyn · 15/10/2022 17:57

I’d guess it’s an old colliery house which is why it is leasehold, I’d expect it to have originally been a 999 year old lease. It’s right next to the old pits.

ChessieFL · 15/10/2022 17:58

That’s lovely! I love the hummingbird wallpaper.

DeadButDelicious · 15/10/2022 18:04

I LOVE IT.

ofwarren · 15/10/2022 18:04

I keep coming back to look at this house. I'm going to screenshot the photos for inspo.
It's perfect to me, especially the outside areas. Just gorgeous.

ShakeYourFeathers · 15/10/2022 18:07

So long as it's nothing structural I would happily pay £130k for that. I quite like some the that wallpaper. The rest of it is just furniture and dust collectors which the

ItisallPooh · 15/10/2022 18:09

Think how long it is going to take them to pack up and move out. 😩

CarefreeMe · 15/10/2022 18:10

Aww I love it! And so much better than all of the greys you see!

I’m a massive fan of pretty wallpaper which this place has.

Although there’s too much stuff like furniture and ornaments and I like minimal things in my home.

SunlightThroughTrees · 15/10/2022 18:13

That house looks SO welcoming and happy.

I also think it’s a bit mean spirited to take the piss out of what’s obviously a much loved home that someone’s just trying to sell. It’s not like they’ve put it in House Beautiful magazine or similar and are consciously opening themselves up to people critiquing it.

SunlightThroughTrees · 15/10/2022 18:14

Oh sorry OP, I totally misread your post and thought you were making fun of it. Sorry, ignore me Blush

LoobyDop · 15/10/2022 18:14

Absolutely love the wallpaper with birds, both the landing and bedroom ones. And the garden is beautiful.

LidlCinnamonBun · 15/10/2022 18:14

It’s full of beautiful items, wallpaper and love.
I adore it!

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/10/2022 18:14

That is so cute. My dd loves it! She’s 14 and wants our house to look like Buckingham palace….

BotterMon · 15/10/2022 18:14

Gorgeously twee and so colourful. Can't believe how cheap it is! Is the area awful?

Bunnynames101 · 15/10/2022 18:15

It's not far from what I'm aiming for in my current Victorian terrace (stylistically, slightly altered colour pallette). Restoring the period and character feature. If I can achieve that level of detail I'll be delighted.

Els1e · 15/10/2022 18:16

😻love it. Just wish I had an ounce of that creativity and confidence. I am so magnolia walls with white woodwork. So dull in comparison.

Always4Brenner · 15/10/2022 18:17

Love the kitchen and in fact the bedrooms as well too many pictures in the living room .

Thanks.
To clarify, I think you can see the love put into decorating this house. I love the style and agree about the amazing wall paper and the beautiful gardens.

However, the amount of dusting needed means I could never live there. It'd very soon start looking like how I imagine Miss Havisham's house rather than the cosy oasis it is today

The area's not awful, just not had the regeneration that other local former industrial towns have had

Overall it's a bit busy for my taste but there are things I love about it. The fireplaces are fab and so is some of the wallpaper.

I'd buy it.

Funkyblues101 · 15/10/2022 18:23

Absolutely amazing! Shame it's in St Helen's...
