Is this showing off?

I’m lucky enough to have several pairs of Louboutin shoes, mainly plain pumps, that I’ve had for several years. I hardly ever wear them, partly because I worry that it might be seen as me being flashy or showing off.
I was going to wear a pair last night when we went to a local gastropub (we rarely go anywhere posh and pricey), but changed my mind just before we left.
Should I just think it’s not showy off to wear them or just leave them in the wardrobe or, sell them as I wear them so rarely?

To answer a few questions, I’ve had these shoes for probably 10 years, DH bought me a few and I treated myself when I was working. I no longer work so can’t afford to buy them anymore and I’m thinking I’ll leave them to DD’s in my will 😂
I probably am overthinking it and am being a bit of an arse for thinking people will notice my shoes, although I do notice peoples shoes, sad but true!
I will wear them more often but car to bar as someone else posted 😂

I would never buy such thing as I think it’s useless and lacking value. However if you have them, why don’t you wear them. What’s the use of them if you don’t even wear them.

And also, I wouldn’t even recognise them lol. I only know what it is because they were in sex and the city? I don’t know if I’m even talking about the same thing, probably not

To me, Louboutins are very wannabe. I live in a very affluent area (I'm not) and have never seen a pair here, but I'd expect to see them more up north, they make me think of Liverpool WAGs.
So i get why you feel awkward about wearing them BUT if you love them then wear them! If you really feel too awkward then sell them on and buy something less showy.

The shoes were bought as xmas and birthday gifts when DH earned a lot more than he does now and when I was working, which I’m no longer doing.

I agree with the posters saying what’s the point of having them and not wearing them so I will start wearing them more often 😁

I feel for you

I have one, and I bought it because I fell in love, It's just beautiful. But I really don't think people are looking at your feet and know what it is, like it's expensive or not, tbh. Mine is plain black, so not likely for anyone to think anything about it, except for that it looks great. I get more compliment on different shoes, less expensive ones, but also beautiful.

I was at a friend's birthday and her brother who Is a complete show off, had a pair of loubitons on he sat with his feet sticking out waggling the soles my eyes nearly rolled out of my head.

He should have just shouted .LOOK AT MY SHOES!

I wouldn’t know what those were if I saw them. And most people probably wouldn’t unless they are into brand names. Just wear them and don’t worry about what others think

No one takes a blind bit of notice what other random people wear in real life.
Buy things you like and wear the hell out of them because you love wearing them and they make you feel great not to try to look rich etc. It's just clever marketing.

I think a lot of people if they noticed your shoes would presume they were fake (especially if you're just sat in the local gastro) tbh.
So many lookalikes around.
I certainly don't think they would turn heads.

I would be careful where I wore them within reason (to keep them nice) and I definitely wouldn’t drive in them.

Tbh a lot of people won’t even know the make.

I wouldn’t judge you for your choice of brand, other than thinking you must be mad to wear heels ever, especially to a pub. I like to be able to run away at all times though.

I just feel uncomfortable at the thought of wearing high heeled pumps to a local pub, but then we usually combine going to the pub with walking the dog!

But if your local pub is the kind of place people get dressed up in cocktail dresses and high heeled pumps then go for it.
