This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

Edward and Sophie having a sob. They seem a sensitive pair.

Northernlurker · 19/09/2022 11:16

Oh poor Edward and Sophie. It's so hard for them.

bellac11 · 19/09/2022 11:16

Who is James?

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2022 11:16

I thought he might try and pick up the paper , but probably best to leave it.
The music they played pulling the gun carriage was brilliant. Well done to everyone for being pitch and marching perfect.

warofthemonstertrucks · 19/09/2022 11:16

Dp and I are wondering where Mike Tindall is? I haven't seen him in any of it?

And the young lads carrying the coffin. Such a responsibility but they did a great job.

Absolutely. All their parents should be proud today.

What an honour and one they would have earned through service.

Borris · 19/09/2022 11:16

This lady has a lovely speaking voice

I wonder if Meghan had to do an emergency shopping trip? I’m assuming she wouldn’t have come over with a weeks worth of black just in case.

I'm sure wherever she and Harry are staying has laundry facilities .

Isn't Zara there?

Zara and Mike are on the end, other side of William and Catherine I believe

Is it the same bearer party today as the ones who Carried her into Westminster hall a few days ago?

Yes it is.

Winterfellismyhome · 19/09/2022 11:16

Mikes at the end of the row with William and Kate on it

Rainbunny · 19/09/2022 11:17

Thank God the piece of paper's been retrieved. Haven't spotted Mike and Zara Tindall, are they hiding?

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 11:17

Maybe there are boxes of tissues hidden in the pews. Not for those on the front row though. One hanky wouldn't be nearly enough

Seeing everyone sat in the lit up pews has made me think of that photo of the queen all on her own at her husbands funeral during lockdown. Heartbreaking.

It's really hard-hitting.

She was on her own because of her sense of duty.

She's surrounded by people now, again, because of her sense of duty.

I did half-wonder originally whether a state funeral was the right thing - after all, her husband refused one. But I think it's been good for her family - they've appeared more likeable, and I sense she was smart enough to think about that and to look after them as much as she could in death.

I think in light of how tough everything's been, we all needed an excuse for a good cry. I don't know about you, but I've been crying hard for every loss I've had in the last couple of years that I didn't get a chance to mourn at the time.

Oh, she was such a class act. We'll never have one like her again.

MinglingFlamingo · 19/09/2022 11:17

Isn't Zara say two down from Charlotte next to her brother Peter?

Oblomov22 · 19/09/2022 11:17

The shots of the whole Abbey, from the top, were incredibly magnificent.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/09/2022 11:17

Very striking looking woman, doing the reading.

Who is James?

Edward and Sophie’s son

LetMeSpeak · 19/09/2022 11:17

These royals need to try and hold their tears in please. It’s making me cry too 😭.

cathycake · 19/09/2022 11:17

Breathtakingly stunning. Nobody does it like the Brits.

AMessageToYouRuby · 19/09/2022 11:17

Is there a standard structure to Christian funerals? I've never been to one, just trying to understand.

Hiding? They’re doing a terrible job if so… what with being in the front row and all!

Who is James?

Edward and Sophie's son. Sitting behind them, which is a shame. He's still young.
