Tell me your favourite comfort TV shows

Basically anything that is the TV equivalent of a hug. Particularly shows that are perfect for autumn/winter nights, the kind of thing it's nice to watch when it's dark outside and you're curled up under a blanket.

I've rewatched my favourites recently and want to start something new. Gilmore Girls is top of my recommendations and is great for autumn. Friends, How I Met Your Mother and Death in Paradise are all on my list too. I liked Parks and Rec but that seems to have disappeared from Netflix and Prime.

Nothing too sad or soppy please as I'm lonely and struggling after a breakup 😂

Bonus points if it's on Netflix, Prime, Disney+ or any of the free sites/apps

I love IT Crowd and I'm rewatching it at the moment, but I always forget there are only 4 series and only 6 episodes in each series. I feel like I've barely spent any time watching it and I'm already 3/4 of the way through the whole thing

Downton Abbey all the way.

It's like blanket, fire and hot chocolate all rolled into one.

In fact I think it should be licensed in the NICE guidance for treating mild anxiety.

If I'm in a bad state an evening of downton sorts me right out.
