What do adults do for fun?

Stop sniggering at the back!

Trying to make a list to amuse myself this autumn/winter. Aside from the usual cinema/art gallery/museum.

So far I have:

Ice-skating
10 pin bowling
indoor climbing/bouldering/trampolining

Tried an escape room but didn't like it.

What else? I'm in Edinburgh btw.

Thanks

Park run?

HansBanans · 05/09/2022 21:20

What about the indoor crazy golf in Dunfermline?

N1C · 05/09/2022 21:25

Board games like camelup, sheriff of Nottingham, etc. Board game cafes/bars are great with friends if you don't have many at home.

Jets121 · 05/09/2022 21:28

Strangely, given my username, get yourself a camera and go on walks with it! Either town or country. Wildlife photography can eat up a day and be very relaxing. (I also really enjoy boardgames, and watching classic movies..?)

DoAllMyOwnStunts · 05/09/2022 21:52

This is all very much in the spirit I'm imagining!
Horseriding especially, used to love that as a child!

Aqua aerobics

Clubbing ? Particularly if they do an 80s / 90s theme

Gig / concert - even a tribute band at a local pub

Pub quiz

SkankingWombat · 05/09/2022 22:00

I've just joined a swimming club. It's much more interesting and social than lane swimming, plus I'm less likely to duck out of it!

Otherwise, reading, gardening, meeting up with friends for walks/drinks/meals. I go to gigs or out raving too, but that happens much less frequently these days and is limited to the occasional blowout usually.

LizzieSiddal · 05/09/2022 22:18

Is anyone going to have any spare money to do these things?
