What’s everyone up to on the 1st Saturday of September.

The 1st Saturday of my favourite month, love Autumn!! 😍 What is everyone up to!

We woke up about an hour ago and have had a very lazy start to the day. We have DH’s parents staying over for a night before they drive home today so it’s been nice to wake up a little earlier and not go straight to hosting!

DH has gone to bring our ponies in and give them their breakfast and pick up milk as we realised on the 1st pot of tea that it had turned.

We have croissants and posh jam for breakfast and I’m just about to go and prod our 3 DD’s (two of which should definitely have been up with their dad helping with the horses, he’s a soft touch!!!)

DH’s parents will probably leave around mid-morning and then it’s a day of running DD’s around to various friends houses and cinema etc.

Youngest DD has a XC event tomorrow which we need to walk the course for today and I’m looking forward too, love getting wellies on and going for a good stomp with the dog.

Then back here to put on the beef rendang curry, light the candles and binge watch something that we’ve not decided on yet…

Perfect Saturday for me, what’s everyone else up to?

Waiting in on supermarket deliveries this morning (including firewood) and sorting out hello fresh/simply cook for the month ahead ready for some more autumnal dishes. September always goes by in a flash.

Once breakfast is over preparing our car for sale on an auction site.Have put down a deposit on another to secure the sale... exciting. Then chill out and wait for the results to morrow!

DH went to work early this morning, but will finish at lunch time. Just having a coffee then will get DC dressed and take them to see my Mum & Dad. Got some items sold on Vinted I need to post.
then it’s F1 quali and my rugby league team is on TV later, will watch that along side keeping an eye on the football.
chilli and rice for tea & hope for a truly restful day before the back to school madness begins next week!

I’m currently sat on the sofa in my pjs after putting the food shop away. I think dh might be going to work later (his 2nd job so he can decide if he goes or not), I need to pick dd3 up from her friend’s house at 11am as she had a sleepover last night, then I’m dropping dd1 off at work at 12, picking her back up at 2 (short work day for her) then I’m going to the hairdressers for me and dd2 at 3.15pm.

i think dd3 might be going for sleepover number 2 tonight at her grandma’s but dh is arranging that so I’ll just be sat back on my sofa after dinner and I’ll find a film to watch tonight before bed.

Football training this morning, we all go as DH is the coach, DS1 helps out, DS2 plays and I do the admin. DH is off to the football straight after training, with his Dad, he'll be back early evening. No plans for me and the DC - we need to get DS1 some school trousers that fit him before Monday. Chilli and rice for dinner, then something on Netflix when DC are in bed.

DH and DS1 will be going to football and DS2 is working, so me and the d dog will have the house to ourselves for a while. I will walk the dog late am, cook myself some pasta for lunch, as others aren’t keen and find a film to watch without anyone saying why are you watching that rubbish.

Just finished coffee in bed, I’m about to go into work for a few hours to sort out a location shoot. DP will walk the dog and then drop my DS’s at football with their dad. DS1 playing.

DP and I are then going to (proper) football and then I think out for dinner later although there’s a possibility we’ll jump in the camper van and head down to the coast instead.

I’m waiting for my kids to come back from a week at my mum’s. Out for a cycle this morning then I’ve a few bits to pick up for DS’s birthday in town. Not sure what’s for tea yet, will depend on their eta!

I need to get DC1 to try on her uniform, and if it’s too small get the next size out of the loft where it’s been since Easter SS it looked like she was going to shoot up like she did the year before. It turned out she finished the year in the uniform she finished the previous year in! (Infants).

The house needs sorting as DH and the kids have just returned from a couple of days away at a friends and there’s stuff everywhere. Washing too.

Probably some food shopping, and a trip to the local retail park as DC2 only has 3 pairs of school socks, I thought we had more.

My bro and kids were supposed to be visiting but I sent him a message saying the kids were full of cold so he may now risk it.

Dh away this weekend so just me ds (adult) and the dog. I’m drinking coffee and procrastinating just now, it’s a wee bit rainy so the original plan of bed stripping will wait till tomorrow (see above re procrastinating 😂)
I need to get the house packed up before big building work starts in a couple of weeks so I’ll get some of that done today

Ah love Autumn!! Miserable as sin where I am though. Will be bringing the dog on a walk now shortly to burn off some of that puppy energy. I did my big clean on the house for the week yesterday after work so when I come back I’m making soup and just going to take it nice and easy!

Then just chill out watching the best of
telly and a few cups of tea! Also pursuing Amazon for some nice Halloween bits. Anyone any suggestions? 😆🍁
