What’s everyone up to on the 1st Saturday of September.

The 1st Saturday of my favourite month, love Autumn!! 😍 What is everyone up to!

We woke up about an hour ago and have had a very lazy start to the day. We have DH’s parents staying over for a night before they drive home today so it’s been nice to wake up a little earlier and not go straight to hosting!

DH has gone to bring our ponies in and give them their breakfast and pick up milk as we realised on the 1st pot of tea that it had turned.

We have croissants and posh jam for breakfast and I’m just about to go and prod our 3 DD’s (two of which should definitely have been up with their dad helping with the horses, he’s a soft touch!!!)

DH’s parents will probably leave around mid-morning and then it’s a day of running DD’s around to various friends houses and cinema etc.

Youngest DD has a XC event tomorrow which we need to walk the course for today and I’m looking forward too, love getting wellies on and going for a good stomp with the dog.

Then back here to put on the beef rendang curry, light the candles and binge watch something that we’ve not decided on yet…

Perfect Saturday for me, what’s everyone else up to?

I want to go to a garden fair being held at a Manor House which isn't usually open to the public. I'd like to go with someone but no one is free or are going tomorrow so I'm trying to tell myself it will still be fun going alone!

Drank tea and played on my mobile game and on MN.

Going out on a bike ride in about 45 mins have made flasks already and have a pile of snacks for the ride as well. Trying to force DH to have the first shower.

Watching a film later and looking online for fabric to make new kitchen curtains and blinds. Some housework and DS GF is joining us for dinner.

Dealing with our bumper crop of cooking apples. Despite the drought they have done very well this season.

Freezing loads for crumbles in the winter. Trying to persuade the neighbours that they would like even more apples. Making chutney, probably apple and ginger.

Had a lie in, and admiring the autumnal feeling of fog and cool air coming through the window. The leaves on the trees are turning golden already.

I have done some laundry, just getting ready to take dd to lunch with friends
Then home with a fire lit later and relax
Thai for dinner and an early night. It feels like the (social) demands of the summer are over, even if I miss it a little already, I am ready for socks and soup!

Taking DS shopping for a few bits in advance if him going back to uni, then lunch, but if cleaning, and relax other than running DD to work this evening.

Second weekend since relationship ended, doing ok so far, still a bit strange tho

I finished work at 8. But had a really quiet night so slept pretty much 12-6:30 so now instead of having to sleep all day I am bringing the kids for breakfast and going to drop them to my mums house to see her and my sisters and nephew as just got back from holiday to not seen them for 2 weeks and have lunch and then go home for a few hours nap before tonight's night shift...I'm sure tonight won't be so kind to me! A nice unexpected day!

Pub for lunch, trying not to get too depressed that it's Autumnal. Went to B&M yesterday and all the Christmas stuff is in. Sad Tackling the laundry mountain.

At 4.30pm I will be on the sofa watching the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert for about 6 hours.

DH is taking DC to the library this morning so I can do some work. Not sure about this afternoon, he's offered to take them to the park but he's out with them all day tomorrow so I think I've got enough time for work and I'd quite like to see them! Might go for a walk in the woods or something.

Drinking a coffee and then to get ready. We are off to an out of town shopping centre to buy new work clothes, school stationery and to have lunch. Not very exciting but not something we do often.
we’ve had guests for the last few days so it’s nice to know there is no more hosting today.

Chilled morning, now at dd swimming lesson. Library on the way home then housework etc. Going to cook sloppy Joe's for dinner. I love Saturdays.

No one should have to endure that! Forget five years, or five month planning even anything could literally happen. Turn off the news it is only going to ruin your weekend. Put some wellies on and for a walk, it is going to be okay.

Started the morning with big cuddles from boy cat as we go on holiday tomorrow morning so I'll be leaving them for 4 days. I think he can tell! Girl cat will get cuddles later. Now I'm prepping my nails and then some veggie bacon rolls for brunch, will pack and then just chill. Early to bed as we'll need to leave the house about 4:30am tomorrow!

Watching the rain out the window from the living room.
Got rubbish TV on. One DC doing an activity. The other is up but has gone back to bed to have screen time. Prob playing Minecraft on Xbox. DP in bath.
Had some tea.
Have book next to me but been scrolling MN instead seeing if threads I posted on last night have moved forward.

I had a hideous night with insomnia and feel a bit like a zombie. However DD and I have a day out planned so I’m drinking coffee and thinking happy thoughts!

We are going to a nearby historic town for a walk by the river, lunch and then a very long mooch in the massive second hand book shop. DH is walking DDog while we’re out and DS is meeting his mates later.

Im going to put some chicken in the slow cooker before I go out and that will make 3 of this weeks dinners. Trying to gently persuade DH to make some banana bread.

I want to watch The Green Mile tonight as I finished the book last week. Highly recommend it if you love the film.

Have fun! I'll be watching from the sofa, as I can't do crowds of people. It's going to be emotional I think.
