When you blow a raspberry

Does the blown air go above or below your tongue?

For years I thought it was the same for everyone, but it turns out it's not, and I'm curious as to whether it's me or them that's the odd one, or if it's fairly well mixed.

Under. My bottom lip judders about. I have a thin top lip that I don't think is capable of vibrating.

I've been sitting here blowing so many raspberries I've woken the dog who has walked out of the room in a huff.

My default is both but if I focus I can also do just above and just below. I can also roll my tongue so I don't know if that helps with the way I can control the different types of raspberries?

The talent I didn't realise I had all this time. 😂

Seems like it's a more even split than I thought it would be. I was convinced under was normal and they were an outlier.

If you use just lips, are you doing it against skin? Or would you use just lips if you were blowing a raspberry 'at' someone? I'm not sure the latter is really blowing a raspberry, but I've (clearly) been wrong on this topic before!

@NumptiesIncorporated I make an excellent raspberry noise with just my lips. Much more controlled and less spitty!

Have you ever played a bugle? It's that action. Press the pursed lips tightly together and force air through.
