When you blow a raspberry

Does the blown air go above or below your tongue?

For years I thought it was the same for everyone, but it turns out it's not, and I'm curious as to whether it's me or them that's the odd one, or if it's fairly well mixed.

Below if I want my bottom lip to wobble which is how I usually blow a raspberry. Above if I want a higher pitched/cheekier noise 😜

I don’t get it though- how would one go about blowing air under the tongue?

I can do both, but I never realised there was a difference until just now. Below is the default for me, but I can force it from above if I want to. How bizarre!

So many of us sitting around practising! I never knew there was a difference.

Firstly below, for a low raspberry - that comes more naturally. On experimenting (occasionally) above for a higher, shorter raspberry!!

I don't think I can do it above. I'm browsing in bed, DP is next to me and on on earlies tomorrow. I can't risk another raspberry or be bothered to go downstairs to give it a go.

I must be broken-all that happens in that the air either doesn’t get out or it forces a leak up top but no noise.

Both. It really depends on how much tongue is sticking out - put a fair bit out and I can make air go below. Small amount out and it goes above.

Below! I didn't even know people did it differently
My husband can do both apparently, above for "high note" and under for "bass note" lol
I've tried many times just now and the air only comes out one way!

What?? How on earth do you do it below? I can't do it below, gutted.
