Just that really! Looking to salivate over Autumnal deliciousness (or anything in general you are looking forward to, now Autumn is not far from peeking it’s head out!)

❌ autumn bashers not allowed 😁 and yes I know energy prices are the shit bit.

Butternut squash. And pumpkins. Also looking forward to the various cider/apple festivals around here. And picking the last of the blackberries for crumbles.

PinkButtercups · 20/08/2022 22:47

Tomato soup.

I know it's not just for autumn but soup just isn't the same in the summer!

JohnsShirt · 20/08/2022 22:50

Mussels, only eat them when there's an R in the month.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 20/08/2022 22:51

Looking forward to getting the soup maker out.

Ahhbiscuits · 20/08/2022 22:55

Same with stew, I was fantasising about dumplings and gravy the other evening! And love butternut squash, so versatile.

Curry, cottage pie, soup. And puddings and custard!
Pumpkin spiced everything and cinnamon hot chocolate.
New boots and jumpers. Fluffy socks and PJs. Candles and real fires and cosy nights in. Crisp Autumn morning walks kicking up leaves.
Can you tell I LOVE Autumn??!😂
CANNOT WAIT...

IvebeenUpAllNightNoSleep · 20/08/2022 22:57

Probably something like shepherds pie, veg and gravy. Or toad in the hole.
i know these can be eaten whenever but I’ve not had an oven for a while due to having new kitchen soon 🤞🏼

IvebeenUpAllNightNoSleep · 20/08/2022 22:57

Oh and apple crumble. Or any crumble and custard!!

Starship951 · 20/08/2022 22:57

Definitely soups. I really love making a soup in the morning, going out for a walk or to run errands/whatever and coming home to it for lunch.

TinaTeaspoons · 20/08/2022 23:00

Lentil bolognese
Lots of home made soup
Hot chocolate although still drink that all year round

I adore Autumn

RaspberryParfait · 20/08/2022 23:02

Homemade pumpkin pie with cinnamon cream

A roast with cauliflower cheese, yorkshires and gravy. Despite being a veggie (everyone else has meat) as I adore roast potatoes. Been too hot to cook one for months.

Shepherds pie with leek and cheesy mash (as above).

LadyMaid · 20/08/2022 23:08

Sticky toffee pudding

BobbyBleu · 20/08/2022 23:09

Stew (we call it lobby around here) and dumplings....delicious

MarmiteCoriander · 20/08/2022 23:15

EmbroidedFlowers · 20/08/2022 23:17

I have some lovely soup and chowder slow cooker recipes that I'm saving until Autumn and can't wait to make - makes the house smell delicious too.

This has reminded to use up the beef cheek in the freezer before the Melbourne winter ends.
Butternut in Meera Sodha's roasted butternut curry

BronzeSage · 20/08/2022 23:29

Lentil bolognese? Same recipe as meat but with lentils instead?

Thestoppedfan · 20/08/2022 23:38

Treacle toffee! Also casseroles with dumplings and all the lovely food that you can never have in summer as it’s too warm.
