My vote is for the Waitrose Salt Beef Pretzel Sub by Heston - bloody delicious (£5.60 though 😳)
Any other recommendations for the days I can't take a packed lunch?

Waitrose Cheese & Celery, M&S ditched their version

I didn't know Waitrose did one, I'm traumatised M&S got rid of theirs!

Headisrecked · 18/08/2022 18:29

I miss the cheese and celery, and a bag of deltas🥲

EnglishGirlApproximately · 18/08/2022 18:32

Lots of love for Tesco chicken, pesto and Mozzarella!

Going totally old school now but I remember Morrisons doing a 'millennium dome-which' which was round cob with chicken tikka and various additions - it was lovely

I see a couple of others have mentioned Tesco Tuna Crunch - bought my first one years ago for a day at Wimbledon thinking to scrooge on W prices. It was DELICIOUS.

Still buy one now and then. The first one cost 74p, it's nearly twice that now (still good value though!)

Also like a Waitrose Seafood Cocktail.

Greggs tuna crunch sub and m&s beef sub with onion mayo (no longer sold)

Also partial to m&s chicken and stuffing sarnie

Asda Brie, bacon and chilli jam!
£2.80

Second that 🥪

DaisyWaldron · 18/08/2022 18:45

M&S Wensleydale and carrot and Sainsbury's brie, bacon and chilli chutney.

QueenOfWeeds · 18/08/2022 18:50

I don’t eat mayo so tend to swerve supermarket sandwiches but the Wensleydale and carrot chutney sounds amazing!

Ham with mustard mayo (I know, I know - in my head it doesn’t count as mayo, and I was desperate) is my standard.

alrightfella · 18/08/2022 18:52

@Rosiesmydog Sainsbury's do an onion bhaji sandwich

Kangaruby · 18/08/2022 18:56

M & S whipped feta and falafel wrap, it's my go to, it's lovely

hugoagogo · 18/08/2022 18:57

Waitrose cheese and celery or cheese and onion from almost anywhere.
I used to love M&S cheese and celery and M&S cheese and tomato, but both seem to have disappeared.
Tesco free range egg, with extra eggGrin
Basically anything I like gets discontinued.

lemonyfox · 18/08/2022 18:57

Co-Op roast chicken and sausage stuffing

M&S Wensleydale & carrot chutney. So simple but so delicious

This is my favourite too, it’s delicious.

MoltenLasagne · 18/08/2022 19:04

Greggs Mexican Chicken sub with a sweet chutney. Beautiful. But we don't have a Waitrose or M&S near work so that might be skewing my answer!

Pleiades2020 · 18/08/2022 19:06

M&S Wensleydale and Carrot Chutney.

valbyruta · 18/08/2022 19:08

I haven't bought a ready made sandwich for years, but

M&S smoked ham, egg mayo and lettuce in a soft roll (often too much lettuce though)
Pret a Manger thinly sliced roast beef, horseradish and rocket

M&S prawn mayo and their BLT sandwiches used to be in demand but in hindsight they were not that nice tbh

tulips9 · 18/08/2022 19:09

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/08/2022 15:32

Do M&S still do the cheese and celery one? That was great.

Yes, this was epic!!

M&S Wensleydale & carrot chutney. So simple but so delicious

One of my favs!

gogohmm · 18/08/2022 19:10

Waitrose had a ciabatta with beef onion and rocket but not seen it since the dreaded lurgy arrived alas. The pastrami one is a decent runner up not that I can afford take away sandwiches these days

Claysta · 18/08/2022 19:18

M&S used to do a chicken tikka one which I still think about … might start a campaign to bring it back !

I mentioned this upthread as did a couple of others. Why on earth did they get rid? It used to be my treat if I got dragged to town shopping with my mum

MissAmbrosia · 18/08/2022 19:54

M&S - roast beef and horseradish, cheese and onion, prawn, chicken and sweetcorn. I live abroad and lust after a M&S sandwich.

stripeymonster · 18/08/2022 20:00

M & S Mexican bean wrap with their bacon rasher crisps
