What song are you obsessed with at the moment

for me its Paolo Nutini's Candy, oh my goodness I could listen to it over and over.

Others are Massive Attacks Teardrop, takes me back to when I was at secondary school and Tracy Chapman Talkin About A Revolution - seems very apt atm

I watched Woodstock '99 with my husband and totally wished I hadn't or at least the part with Gavin.

I had forgotten what a crush I had on him in the 90's. I saw him and suddenly turned 23 (I'm 52 now) and just sighed and melted just a little bit. I caught myself feeling all flush to turn and see my husband rolling his eyes at me. Had he not been in the room, I'd have squealed outright and played that part over and over again.

I'll admit that he didn't do "it" for me in later years but those young 20's memories cannot be erased.

Someone else who understands the obsession 😁.

This one about Billie-Joe McAllister jumping off the Tallahatchie Bridge.

I can’t get over how poignantly that story is told while they are eating their lunch (‘pass the biscuits, please’). It is incredible storytelling.

And the names of the places: Tallahatchie; Choctaw Ridge. And her voice. All so evocative.

And I never stop wondering what they threw into the river, even though I know that there is no answer to that.

A movie was made about the song in the 70’s I think

My 15 year old likes a band called mother mother, they have a song called hayloft and a follow up called hayloft II. I'm obsessed with both!

Generally my go to songs at home alone are sinead o'connors nothing compares to you, beautiful south a little time, dusty Springfield son of a preacher man, eurythmics thorn in my side, dido thank you, Dolly Parton 9 to 5, fleetwood Mac songbird

I like to sing when I'm alone....badly lol

My 15 year old has introduced me to Mother Mother too @imnotthatkindofmum ! I quite like Hayloft 2 - more than Hayloft.

I’ve been playing Muse Feeling Good a lot lately. As well as Prodigy No Good and various 90s dance tunes lol.
