for me its Paolo Nutini's Candy, oh my goodness I could listen to it over and over.

Others are Massive Attacks Teardrop, takes me back to when I was at secondary school and Tracy Chapman Talkin About A Revolution - seems very apt atm

Today it's been Love You Less by Veruca Salt.

I saw the title and came in to say Paulo Nutini's new song! Not usually a fan but I love it
Also rocket fuel from the new Kasabian album

'What I Like' - Confidence Man
'Chemtrails over the Country Club' - Lana del rey
And everything on 'Harry's House' apart from one track

Ooh which track??
'Cinema' is a bit of a skip for me.

Oh my, “Cry Little Sister” just made me come over all peculiar. Instantly transported back to 1988 and watching The Lost Boys on video in my grotty student flat: good friends, lights low, crap lager… that song was just so spooky and evocative! Thanks for the reminder!

I’m not sure I’d say obsession, but I have two pretty clingy ear worms at the moment: Harry Styles “As it was” and Hosier’s “Take me to church”

Donotgogentle · 16/08/2022 20:08

Twenty One Pilots - Ride (it’s an oldie)

Sam Fender - Get You Down

CandyLeBonBon · 16/08/2022 20:08

It was acceptable in the 80s by Calvin Harris. Duran Duran featured it in the middle of Girls on Film at Hyde Park in July and I literally cannot stop listening to it!

DeathMetalMum · 16/08/2022 20:11

Daylight by Shinedown
All my Friends by Creeper

Two of my favourite bands currently.

@Juicesausagecake and @ShirleyJackson Ballad of Billy Jo and Moments of Pleasure are two of my all time favourites.
Im off to see Run The Jewels next week so have a playlist on repeat so I look marginally more hip with the young people.

ChobKnees · 16/08/2022 20:23

Love that Lost Boys song and the whole soundtrack tbh.

Does everyone know the story about the main character in the film, Jason Patric running off with Julia Roberts when she was about to marry his friend Kiefer Sutherland?

Rebel yell
Heart of Glass
Both Miley Cyrus covers.

MakingNBaking · 16/08/2022 20:25

Delta Lady (Joe Cocker), and I'll tell you why.
I love the line 'how many times have I found you, wet and naked standing in the garden'
And that conjures up a green, dewy garden and cool slightly damp and misty mornings. And me in all my glory standing in the cold wet grass. Which,in this drought ridden, boiling hot, nasty humid county in which I live, has been such a welcome vision.
Only thing missing is DH bringing me out a cuppa and a bacon sarnie.

MrsHemsworth · 16/08/2022 20:28

Used to be Mine by Sara Bareilles and Remind Me by Tom Grennan

honkeytonkwoman38 · 16/08/2022 20:28

Shipbuilding by Elvia Costello

imnotthatkindofmum · 16/08/2022 20:29

My 15 year old likes a band called mother mother, they have a song called hayloft and a follow up called hayloft II. I'm obsessed with both!

Generally my go to songs at home alone are sinead o'connors nothing compares to you, beautiful south a little time, dusty Springfield son of a preacher man, eurythmics thorn in my side, dido thank you, Dolly Parton 9 to 5, fleetwood Mac songbird

I like to sing when I'm alone....badly lol

Mostly I listen to rock and metal

noodlezoodle · 16/08/2022 20:33

Someone posted the link to In Demand by Texas on a thread a little while back and boy oh boy it took me back. And what a video!
